Discovering talents !
The young book house called Les P’tits Berets aims
at questioning children on their environmment as
well as on universal themes to help them grow up
thinking about life and events that marked their
childhood.
Caroline Pérot, who got a degree in publishing and
youthful edition, and Gaëlle Perret, who is both an
ethnologist and a writer for children, work together
to produce attractive, meaningul books.
They have been working with authors and illustrators who
have very different styles and commitments. The quality of the
books is what matters to them. As a consequence, they pay special
attention to the variety of styles, making sure that different registers are being
used in the books - poetical, humorous with various reading interpretations.
They want to expose children to a varied reading to increase their curiosity,
longing for reading and their critical mind.
