Lively discussions, lots of sharing of information

all learned tons throughout the semester, and
every student grew with confidence and selfesteem over the weeks. Many have continued
their learning this summer with jobs in garden
centres, parks departments and with professional
landscape contractors.”

“THE CHOICE THAT STUDENTS MAKE TO
GET A POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION HAS
THE POTENTIAL TO BE A LIFE-CHANGING
DECISION, AND AS AN INSTRUCTOR I FEEL
PRIVILEGED TO FACILITATE THIS PROCESS.
No matter what profession we aspire to, there is
a leader in each of us. It is that leadership spark
I love to ignite by ensuring my students have the
opportunity to express ideas, test personal values
and beliefs, and engage in thoughtful discussion.
There is also tremendous pleasure in seeing
students complete their program and, during their
final course, share contact information that allows
myself and other students to provide assistance
and build the professional relationships that are
so important in career planning.”
