Meet the man behind the goals
as this world-renowned footballer
talks food, fitness and fatherhood.
Dear Team Herbalife EMEA,
October is always such an exciting time of year for EMEA.
We have new products, Herbalife Extravaganza season is well
underway and there is still time to reach the goals that you set
back in January.
We’ve just returned from an awesome EMEA Herbalife
Extravaganza in Barcelona where tens of thousands of
Members witnessed the world exclusive launch of CR7
Drive. When we started working with Cristiano Ronaldo, we
promised you a product that was built and developed in
conjunction with the legend himself and here it is; a premier
nutrition product, endorsed by a world-class athlete at a
class-beating price.
As if that wasn’t enough, we still have one of our most
significant leadership events to look forward to. The Future
President’s Team Retreat in Geneva will have key guest
speaker, Founder’s Circle Member Leon Waisbein leading the
way with training.
The approaching winter holidays present a wealth of
opportunities for Herbalife Members. Make a commitment
to improve your nutrition during the holidays when others are
ignoring it. Better yet, help 5 or 10 new customers do the
same; to reduce their body fat percentage or build muscle. If
you need help, you can always turn to the 2015 Herbalife gift
catalogue.
The effort that you put into the last quarter of the year sets up
your foundation for success in 2016, so use this time to start
new conversations where you can. January and February will
be filled with Kick Off meetings in every market where you
can bring new people into Herbalife and get them set up for
success.

Letter
from the Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer
Dear Team Herbalife,
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our important mission of changing people’s lives through nutrition. We are
addressing the global obesity pandemic, as well as unemployment and underemployment, by providing opportunities for
people to improve both their nutrition and their economic station. Now, more than ever, we really are making a difference.
Sales leader activity and retention is up in every region in 2015. This is a direct result of your hard work and an indicator that
the changes we’ve made are taking hold around the world. We’re learning from our top performing markets and sharing best
practices, that’s what we do here – we help one other, and we learn from each other, we build it better together.
This has been a year of progress with a focus on sustainable growth, and our Members are leading the charge. Herbalife
Extravaganzas and events in all regions continue to see tremendous attendance and participation. Our Herbalife Family
Foundation’s Casa Herbalife Programme is expanding into more communities; now providing nutrition to more than 100,000
children each day. As for our global partnership with the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, the event itself aligns with our
Vision, Mission and Values. As Games Supplier, we provided Formula 1 Express Bars throughout the event, which was held
in Los Angeles in July. It brought together more than 7,000 athletes and 30,000 volunteers; making it the largest sports and
humanitarian event anywhere in the world this year.
These accomplishments are a direct result of our Members' outstanding effort and positive attitude. Your stories and results are
inspiring, and your commitment to integrity, honesty and excellent customer service is what makes Herbalife unique.
So as our business evolves and we build our future together – a future that Herbalife Founder and First Member Mark Hughes
(1956–2000) predicted would be “brilliant beyond compare” – I ask you to continue to focus on our mission to change people’s
lives.
Thank you for all that you do.

CRISTIANO RONALDO
UNCOVERED
The Man Behind
The Sports Legend
You can see it in his eyes. The grit, the passion and the
razor-sharp focus. When international football superstar
Cristiano Ronaldo steps onto the field, the game becomes
more than just a game. It’s the next challenge in his neverending pursuit to become a better athlete. Then there’s
his pure physical talent – the strength, the speed and the
agility. While Ronaldo may have been genetically blessed
with physical greatness, his skills have been honed
through years of steadfast training and nutrition. Together,
Ronaldo’s powerful blend of mind and muscle, easily
makes him one of the best athletes to ever play the game.
4
His many awards and honours are a testament to this
fact. Most recently, Ronaldo captured the 2014 FIFA1
Ballon d’Or title, an award given by FIFA to the best male
player of the year. Based on votes from national coaches,
captains and international journalists, the FIFA Ballon
d’Or is a highly coveted prize – and this was Ronaldo’s
third time winning it. He’s also received the ESPY Best
International Athlete Award (2014), the UEFA Best Player in
Europe Award (2013–2014), the UEFA Champions League
Top Scorer Award (2013–2014) and a slew of other highly
acclaimed accolades.
DRIVEN TO SUCCEED
Throughout the years, Ronaldo has
pushed himself in situations where other
athletes may have thrown in the towel.
“I’m dedicated to improving myself all the
time,” says Ronaldo. “It’s born with me. You
can have talent and the potential to be a
great player, but you have to work at it. I’m
focused on my training and on my game,
and I dedicate myself because I think it’s
very important for my career. It’s how I
keep seeing results and how I get better
at my game.”
Around the world, millions of fans catch a
glimpse of this passion when they turn up
or tune in to watch Ronaldo play. They also
feel more connected to him through social
media. In October 2014, Ronaldo became
the first sportsperson (and the second
person after Shakira) to reach 100 million
followers on Facebook2.
“It has given me motivation to work more
and be better for both the present and
future,” Ronaldo says of his social media
following. “I know that wherever I am in
the world, I have a lot of fans. This is why I
always try to play well.”
Even when attacked by critics, Ronaldo
doesn’t let it get the best of him. In fact, it
just fuels him to do better. “It gives me extra
power,” he admits. “Especially when I play
away games and the crowds boo me. This
has given me extra motivation because
I want to show them that they are wrong
and that this is what I’m born to do.”
FOCUSED ON FITNESS
While Ronaldo partly credits his genetics
for his success, he’s also quick to stress
the importance of training and exercise.
“Genetics are very important,” he says,
“but if you work on your genetics you will
become better. Being in good shape is so
important. It’s a weapon for me, because
I think it’s something that gives me an
advantage over other players.”
"BEING IN GOOD SHAPE IS SO
IMPORTANT. IT’S A WEAPON
FOR ME."
Looking ahead, Ronaldo is committed to
maintaining and even building his strong,
muscular physique. “It’s going to take
dedication and hard work but, for the
future, I will try to maintain the same level of
fitness. I know difficult moments and small
injuries are coming with age, and I’m going
to push myself until my body gives me the
answers I want.”

FROM FIELD TO
FATHERHOOD
On the field, Ronaldo’s heart and soul might
be focused on the game, but off the field
his proudest accomplishment is his son
– Cristiano Ronaldo, Jr. “Being a father is
fantastic,” he explains enthusiastically. “It’s
still kind of a dream for me. To wake up in
the morning, to put my kid in school and to
realise that he loves me is fantastic. I love
it. This experience; I feel very, very happy.”
“The best advice that I’m going to give him
is to value education,” says Ronaldo. “He
knows that I am his dad, and that he has my
name so there will be a little bit of pressure
for him. I think the most important things for
him will be respect and a good education.”
HEALTHY NUTRITION
Ronaldo always starts his day with a good
breakfast and fuels his body with a balance
of high-quality protein, carbohydrates and
healthy fats throughout the day.

“Good nutrition is very important for me, and
for other top athletes or people training at
any level,” he explains. “I think good nutrition
is important any time, but especially after
training or a game for muscle recovery."
However, as strict as he is about his diet,
Ronaldo isn’t afraid to ‘cheat’ every once
in a while. “I try to eat well, have good
supplementation and to drink well. But if
there’s a day or two where I go out and treat
myself to something like cake, I don’t have
a problem with this,” he says.
Herbalife has been proud to be Ronaldo’s
Global Nutrition Partner since July 2013.
After discovering the products five years
ago, it was their quality that immediately
caught his attention. More recently Herbalife
and Ronaldo have also collaborated on a
new Herbalife24 carbohydrate-electrolyte
Drink; CR7 Drive.
“Herbalife products are fantastic, and they’ve
helped me a lot,” says Ronaldo. “I think there
are many good products on the market, but
Herbalife is my personal favourite. I believe
in them because they support my training
regime, and I’m honoured to be part of the
Herbalife family.” █

THE SCIENCE BEHIND
CR7DRIVE
Beyond an athlete’s genetic makeup and optimised training plan, it has been suggested that the best way to ensure
optimal performance during prolonged endurance events is through carbohydrate and fluid intake1. That’s why Herbalife
collaborated with world-renowned footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, to create a new sports nutrition product that would take
hydration and performance to the next level. Here, we look at some of the main benefits of new product CR7 Drive, and
reveal the science behind them...
#01
BENEFIT:
CR7 Drive enhances water uptake
during exercise
Authorised claim: Carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions enhance the
absorption of water during physical exercise
THE SCIENCE:
Sweating is your body’s way of regulating temperature. During physical
exercise you sweat between 0.5 to 2 litres of fluid per hour, although the
amount will depend on exercise intensity, environmental circumstances
(such as hot weather) and your individual propensity. Sweating not only
causes you to lose water, but it also causes the body to lose small
amounts of electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and magnesium.
As dehydration leads to poorer aerobic performance and increased
perceived effort, replacement of fluid and electrolytes during exercise
needs to be of the highest priority.
#02
BENEFIT:
CR7 Drive helps you to sustain
endurance performance during prolonged exercise
Authorised claim: Carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions contribute
to the maintenance of endurance performance during prolonged
endurance exercise
#03
BENEFIT:
Use CR7 Drive after hard training
and/or competition to aid recovery of muscle function
Authorised claim: Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of
normal muscle function (contraction) after highly intensive and/
or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the
depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle
THE SCIENCE:
Science has shown that consumption of foods containing glucoseproviding carbohydrates immediately after strenuous exercise can aid
the recovery of normal muscle function. However, to gain the beneficial
effects, a substantial amount must be consumed in the 4-6 hours
following strenuous exercise. To put this into context, a person weighing
70kg would need to consume 280g carbohydrates within 4-6 hours
post-workout: a fairly difficult feat for most people! Fortunately, more
than 75% of the kcals in a serving of CR7 Drive are derived from these
quick-absorbing carbohydrates which quickly enter the bloodstream in
the form of glucose.
'Strenuous exercise' is defined as highly intensive or long-lasting
physical exercise that leads to muscle fatigue, depletion of carbohydrate
(glycogen) energy stores in muscles and the feeling of no longer being
able to sustain the activity at the same level6.
THE SCIENCE:
During a workout, your body fatigues as a result of the depletion of
its carbohydrate reserves, and dehydration due to loss of water and
electrolytes in sweat; both of which hinder sports performance.
Fortunately, there is scientific agreement on the role of carbohydrateelectrolyte drinks such as CR7 Drive in maintaining performance during
prolonged exercise. Studies also show that compared to plain water,
carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions help to maintain fluid and electrolyte
balance in the body, enhance water uptake during exercise and help to
sustain your level of performance at the end of a long and hard training
session or race2,3,4,5. As a result, products such as CR7 Drive are a
great choice to help keep you fuelled for fitness from start to finish.
THE RESULT?
Consuming carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions such as CR7 Drive
during prolonged endurance exercise helps to enhance absorption
of water and maintain endurance performance. When consumed
after strenuous exercise, it also supports recovery of normal muscle
function. To ensure you train at your best, put CR7 Drive at the top
of the list of foods that form your post-workout recovery meal plan! █

facts. The following
examples are some
of the most common
customer questions
about Herbalife24. It’s
worth being familiar with
these questions and the
suggested responses in

by a potential customer…
The calorie content of Formula 1 and
Herbalife24 Formula 1 Sport is almost
identical. However, Formula 1 Sport was
formulated with milk protein, which has
a natural mixture of whey and casein
protein, whereas regular Formula 1 has
protein from soy and dairy. Formula 1
Sport also contains L-glutamine, an
excellent amino acid. The levels of some
vitamins and minerals in the Herbalife24
range have also been increased to help
meet the heightened metabolic needs of
those who are more active.
Who can use Herbalife24?
Herbalife24 is a sports nutrition line for
anyone who does exercise; whether it’s
at an amateur or elite level. Whatever
their workout of choice, from running

any fruit and vegetables and blending

Can I take Herbalife24 Hydrate
if I’m not a “serious athlete” or
when I’m not working out?
Yes, it is designed for everyone.
Herbalife24 Hydrate helps to encourage
fluid intake. It has zero calories,
contains electrolytes and no caffeine so
it can be used through the day.
Why are Herbalife24 products

is quite reasonable for providing the
right nutrition for athletes 24 hours a

differ from regular Herbalife

BALANCED NUTRITION:
THE HERBALIFE WAY
The Herbalife approach to balanced nutrition is not about counting calories. Nor is it about
deprivation of your favourite flavours, or the elimination of food groups such as zero-carb diets.
Whatever your goals, we want to help you to become a healthier and happier version of yourself –
able to look and feel as good as you deserve. How? With balanced and personalised nutrition that
supports a healthy, active lifestyle.
Healthy long-lasting nutrition is all about striking the perfect balance.
Your recommended intake of the macronutrients protein, fat and
carbohydrates should be balanced with vitamins and minerals, as well
as regular exercise and adequate hydration. Getting these nutrients
from the right foods and science-backed products is key.
You're probably aware of the benefits of getting enough protein, as
it's an essential component of every cell in the body. However, you
may not realise that carbohydrates and fat are equally as important. As
these macronutrients are often misunderstood, it's good to know the
difference between the healthy types that help to fuel your body with
beneficial nutrients, and the less healthy types that are often high in
calories yet have little nutritional value.
10
When it comes to fats, unsaturated fats such as polyunsaturated (e.g.
Omega-3s) are better for you than saturated fats. Derived primarily
from plant foods, they can help to keep blood cholesterol within a
normal range. A diet high in saturated fat (from fried foods and animal
products such as butter, milk and meat) can contribute to a rise in
blood cholesterol levels and the associated health problems.
Also coming in 'good' and 'bad' types, carbohydrates are the body’s
preferred source of fuel, so it’s important to eat the right type to provide
energy for activities and bodily functions. Try to limit your intake of highly
processed carbohydrates that have little to offer the body other than
calories. Choose natural carbohydrates instead; they provide energy as
well as vitamins, minerals and in some cases, fibre. █

THE TRUTH ABOUT
‘FREE-FROM’DIETS
Just as with the low-carb and non-fat crazes of the past, going gluten or
dairy-free is the latest in a long line of nutrition trends. But while some
people have dietary needs that demand such restrictions, many others
have simply jumped on the nutritional bandwagon without a thought
to the nutrients that their new restrictive diet may be unnecessarily
causing them to miss out on. With the help of Registered Dietitian Susan
Bowerman, Director of Nutrition Training at Herbalife, we provide a
useful insight into a diet free from gluten, dairy and soy…
Should I go gluten-free?
Gluten is a protein found primarily in wholegrain wheat,
rye and barley. It provides the body with protein to build
and repair muscle tissue, and to manufacture other body
proteins like hormones and enzymes.
People often report feeling bloated or gassy when they eat
grains, and feeling less so when they stop eating glutenrich foods. Many also lose weight as a result of cutting
out gluten, which could be the reason for the sudden
enthusiasm for this food trend. However, gluten is found
not only in grain foods, but also in processed foods such
as creamy salad dressings, as a stabiliser and thickener,
which means going gluten-free often coincides with cutting
out many fast foods and processed foods, and replacing
starchy foods with fruits and vegetables. Irrelevant of the
reduced gluten intake, these healthy changes would likely
make people feel ‘better’ and promote weight loss, whether
they are gluten-intolerant or not.
As a result, one positive for the gluten-free trend is as a way
to improve the diet, especially if processed baked goods
have been the primary source of gluten. Replacing cakes,
cookies and white bread with those made from glutenfree wholegrains like quinoa or millet is good advice for
everyone.
Some people are truly gluten intolerant and have to follow a
strict gluten-free diet, but the numbers are relatively small.
It has been estimated that only about 1% of the population
has the most severe form, known as coeliac disease. They
have to pay close attention to product labels in order to
avoid wheat, rye, and barley, as well as wheat “cousins”
kamut and spelt. Products made from these grains, such
as bulgur, couscous and bran (among others) are off limits
too. Gluten may also be disguised on a label as vegetable
protein, modified food starch or malt flavouring.

12
What is lactose intolerance?
Could I be sensitive to soy?
Lactose is a naturally-occurring sugar in fresh milk products that’s made up
of two types of sugar molecule: galactose and glucose. Both are essential
beneficial sugars for the human body, and should not be confused with the
‘bad’ fructose sugar which causes spikes and dips in blood sugar levels. If
not intolerant, there’s no reason not to consume lactose or milk sugar as part
of a balanced daily diet, especially as dairy contains additional benefits such
as calcium and vitamin D.
For people who are not intolerant, soy is
a fantastic source of protein as it contains
all the essential amino acids, meaning it is a
‘complete’ protein with benefits akin to fish.
This plant source of protein is lower in fat
than most animal protein sources, making it
an ideal choice for weight management.
Lactose is a large molecule that is broken down by the lactase enzyme,
into smaller sugar units that can be absorbed by the body. For the first few
years of life when cow’s milk is consumed frequently, most people naturally
produce the lactase enzyme. However, as milk consumption reduces with
age, lactase production tends to drop off too, which is why symptoms of
intolerance typically develop in the teen or adult years. This inability to digest
lactose is one of the most common digestive complaints among adults;
with symptoms including gas, bloating, cramps and diarrhoea
usually occurring 30 minutes to two hours after lactose is
eaten. It’s also good to note that lactose intolerance is
not the same as a milk allergy where the body has
a problem with the proteins in milk, rather than
the sugar.
While sensitivity to soy is fairly common,
symptoms come in varying degrees and
can include itching, fatigue, wheezing and
abdominal cramps. As symptoms can be
experienced between 3 hours and several
days after eating soy, intolerance can be
difficult to diagnose, so always consult a doctor.
If you’re lactose intolerant, dairy products
such as milk and cottage cheese should
be avoided. Careful reading of product
labels is a must, as lactose often
finds its way into breads and baked
goods, cereals, soups, snack foods,
processed meats and more. Milk, milk
solids, milk powder or whey on a label
are good indications that the food
may contain lactose.
Those whose digestion benefits from
avoiding soy have to scour product labels
and steer clear of many foods including
some dairy, condiments and processed
snacks. They should also ensure they
meet their daily protein requirements from
alternative protein sources, such as eggs,
fish or lean meat.
To reap the benefits of cow’s milk
without the lactose, try lactose-free
milk or yogurt, or milk alternatives like
soy, rice or almond. As dairy products
also provide calcium and vitamin D,
it's important to gain these nutrients
elsewhere. Leafy greens, broccoli and tofu
are a source of calcium, while vitamin D is
found in foods such as fish and eggs. Calcium
and vitamin D supplements can also be a big help.

Vitamins & Minerals
Are You Getting Enough?
Vitamins and minerals are involved in many of the chemical reactions your body performs everyday, and
many minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) have structural roles in the body too. A balanced and
varied diet helps to supply the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs, and a daily multiple
vitamin and mineral supplement can contribute to your recommended daily intakes.
We all know the importance of a balanced daily diet, but it can be difficult to get enough of the foods that provide the
vitamins and minerals we need. While each vitamin and mineral has its own specific role in the body, some provide
benefits that might be particularly beneficial for you as an individual, such as supporting your immune system or
keeping your complexion healthy. Read on to discover the important roles played by some key vitamins and minerals,
and the benefits gained from consuming them via food and dietary supplements…

TELL, SHOW, TRY, DO

Tell, Show, Try, Do is a great principle to help get your new Members started
and train them for success. The principle of Tell, Show, Try, Do was created
to help you grow as a leader and mentor new Members to master new skills;
their first Shake Party, their first Skin Care Party and their first time public
speaking and sharing their own success story. Here, we outline the principle
in detail to help you put it into practice and use it to build your business.
TELL new Members about USE, WEAR,
TALK, the customer flow (customer to loyal
customer to Member) and how to conduct
Wellness presentations. Explain the
process to them so they understand.
SHOW them how to integrate these
methods into everyday business activities,
and invite them to your Business Method
meetings so they can see how it’s done.
TRY it on their own while you are still in
the room. Help them choose Business
Methods and activities that they naturally
connect with and are interested in.
DO give them the confidence to do it by
themselves. Provide encouragement,
support and your Herbalife business
knowledge to help take this next step.
TRAIN YOUR MEMBERS FOR
SUCCESS
learn comes from you so the way they will
work with their customers or their own
Members will be the same as you have
been interacting with them.
SHOW
In the first month, your new Member will
need help understanding how, in practice,
the retailing cycle works. So, show your
new Members how to do it – invite them
to come along with you when you do
your retailing and follow up, and let them
watch for a day. They need to see you
approaching someone you don't know and
inviting them for a Wellness Evaluation. Ask
them to take notes and make sure they are
ready before they do it themselves. Do not
rush this step, as it is critical to make your
Member feel comfortable and confident.
TRY
HERE’S AN EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU
COULD APPLY TELL, SHOW, TRY, DO:
Having acquired these new skills, your
Member should be eager to go and try it
by themselves. Let them try it out on you
first by doing a role play and then let them
practice with their friends and family while
you stay at close reach to see how they are
performing. Be ready to provide them with
feedback. It is perfectly normal for them
to make mistakes, however this step is so
important as this is how they will learn.
TELL
DO
Tell your Member how to make invitations
for a Wellness Evaluation and walk them
through the process, from how to build
their 15 second pitch and how to use their
badge, to how to do a Wellness Evaluation
and body composition analysis, and how
to suggest the best product programme
that fits the customer’s needs. Advise on
how to close the sale with the customer
and most importantly, how to provide
first-class customer service after the sale
– with weekly follow-ups and a re-ordering
schedule. This is the theory that they will
soon put in practice.
When you feel comfortable, let them do it
by themselves without you by their side.
Encourage them, rehearse with them,
and believe in them. Sometimes it takes
a couple of attempts for them to feel fully
comfortable. Be readily available in case
they need to talk, and make sure you listen
and answer all their questions. If needed,
practice with them a few more times.
After a few attempts, most Members will
become fully independent after their first
customer order.
Taking your Members through this
principle, particularly in their first three
months as a Member, will help them avoid
making mistakes, and will allow them to
become more familiar with retailing and
taking care of their customers.
Along the way, stay close to your downline
Members. Remember everything that they

The Customer
Journey:
from NEW to
AMBASSADOR
Providing exceptional customer
service is what sets Herbalife
apart from competitors. It’s the
foundation of the added value that
you, as an Independent Herbalife
Member provide, and is of the
utmost importance in building
a successful and sustainable
organisation.
If you’re just starting out, gaining
new customers is fantastic,
but it’s only by providing great
customer service and taking the
relationship to the next level, that
you can convert your customer
into a loyal customer and
eventually, into an ambassador
who becomes an advocate of the
Herbalife products and brand.
A New Customer will likely need that extra support as
you welcome them to Herbalife, so ensure you:
•Help them to define their body composition goals.
Example question to ask them: "Do you wish you felt
more confident in front of the camera, or that you could
run a 5K? With a balanced nutrition and exercise plan,
we can help!”
•Conduct a Wellness Evaluation to gain information
and build a rapport. Example: “What do you usually
have for breakfast? How much water do you drink per
day?”
•Show new customers how to make a Formula 1
shake, and share tips and recipes. Example: “After a
workout it helps to give your shake a boost of protein
with Formula 3 Personalised Protein Powder.”

•Share your Herbalife story. Your journey may inspire
your customer to stick with their plan. Example: “I know
it’s tough but staying on track is the most effective route
to becoming the best version of you. If I did it, you can
too!”
•Follow-up with a phone call or text to find out how
they are getting on. Example: “How are you feeling on
the programme? Are you enjoying the shakes?”
•Make yourself available and establish your customer's
preferred method for staying in touch, such as via
phone, email or social media. Find out their available
hours and respect their schedule.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Taking your customer on a journey from 'new
customer' to 'ambassador' has two key benefits:
• Placing regular
and/or repeat
product orders
• Generating
referrals, which can
lead to a bigger
organisation and
more qualifications
SALES
REFERRALS
Loyal
Customer
Ambassador
Customer
Good customer service is key to turning your new
customer into a Loyal Customer who continues their
Herbalife programme and makes repeat purchases. The
tips below can help you take your service and relationship
one step further.
When your customer has achieved good results with
you at Herbalife, they are often happy to refer friends
and family. Herbalife products will likely have become
a fundamental part of their daily nutrition, which may
mean frequent repeat purchases. When they reach this
point, they are an Ambassador Customer.
•Keep track of their progress. Log their electronic
scale measurements every week and motivate them to
reach their goal. Example: “You’re nearly there! Stick
to your programme and it won’t be long until you’ve
reached your target.”
•Check in to find out how they're getting on with
the programme, and anticipate upcoming milestones.
Example: “Are you still happy on your programme? It’s
coming up to your first Herbalife anniversary!”
•Create a personal relationship. Even something as
simple as sending a card on their birthday can make a
difference.
•Keep track of when they placed their orders, and
give them a call to remind them when their product
supply may be getting low. Example: “Are you nearly
out of Healthy Breakfast products? Would you like to
place your next order?”
•Community engagement is important as they meet
like-minded people, so share your activity calendar
and extend invitations to them. Example: “I’m running
a new Fit Club tomorrow – would you like to join us?”
•Encourage them to share their story and inspire
others. This will help spread the word about your
Herbalife business. It can be done at customer
events, on social media, or simply through word
of mouth within their Circle of Influence. Give them
words of support to encourage this, such as: “Now
that you are looking and feeling so great, wouldn’t
you like to share your results with others?”
•Discussing their body transformation results
with friends and family could stir their interest in
Herbalife programmes and provide the opportunity for
them to reach their Level 10 personal best too. This
is known as generating referrals. Offering incentives
such as a free facial for your customer and any friends
they bring along to a Skincare Party for example, can
help to encourage more referrals.
•Help your customers service their friends and
family. This helps them to see what it means to be a
Herbalife Member; coaching and supporting others.
Sharing your Member journey also helps them gain
an understanding of what it's like to be a Member.

CONGRATULATIONS ON ACHIEVING
President’s Team 30K
OLEG APELFIELD,
UKRAINE
"Herbalife is an amazing opportunity to change your life. And we took this chance!"
Our story started in December 1990, when my wife Elena, our 5-month
daughter Dana and I emigrated from Belarus to Israel. Both of us are
musicians, but we didn’t have any chance to work by profession. We
had to do low-paid jobs. I worked as a loader and the money I earned
wasn’t enough to pay the rent. Elena didn’t have a permanent job, she
was making money as a street musician, so our financial position was
not good, After Elena gave birth to Dana she started gaining kilos and
struggling with her weight. She tried different diets, but all in vain.
At the time, we felt there were no prospects in our lives and certainly
no opportunities to improve our lifestyle. However I had a dream to
improve my life, to travel the world and to not be worried about my
future, my earnings and my family; I wanted to be able to give them a
stable life. I had always wanted to be my own boss as I didn’t know
anyone who became successful working for others. I kept thinking
about it and was looking for opportunities to change our lives. Now I’m
absolutely sure that if you want something very much; think about it all
the time and look for opportunities like I did, then you too may have the
chance to achieve it.
Our opportunity came to us one day when, walking along the street,
we met our friend who we hadn’t seen for several months. She had
changed a lot; she’d lost weight and looked great. She told us about
Herbalife products and business opportunities. We decided not only
to try the products, but also become Independent Herbalife Members.
We started building our Herbalife business in September 1992. At that
time I just wanted to earn some extra money and Elena wanted to lose
weight. We couldn’t imagine how much our life would change in the
future!
Thanks to the products and with the help of a well-balanced diet and
regular exercise, Elena lost the weight she wanted to lose. Her results
and our early income achievement with the business inspired us to
start actively developing the business. We started our business in Israel
and then gradually looked to Belarus, and later to all the CIS countries,
Europe and the United States. Little by little, step by step, we qualified
to President’s Team, and from that point we saw some key changes in
our lives, for the better!
It takes considerable time to build the significant retail business required to achieve the earnings
depicted and, if the Independent Herbalife Member has chosen to do so, to sponsor, train and support
other Members and thereby achieve commissions and bonuses that contribute to such earnings. Any
statements regarding weight control relate to the weight control program of Herbalife, including, among
other things, a balanced diet, regular exercise, daily intake of the necessary amount of liquid, the use of
dietary supplements, if necessary, and adequate rest. All results are individual and may vary.
It’s impossible to describe all the changes that have happened to
us. Herbalife became our lifestyle. Herbalife has enabled us to have
a wonderful life, to achieve what we could never have imagined. My
family has the stable foundation I wished for, and my desire to have
my own business became a reality. Thanks to intense work with our
organisation all over the world and a systematic approach to building
Herbalife business we have now managed to qualify for President’s
Team 30K! █
