non-food contact surfaces has always left food processors uncertain over its presence or absence; especially when an

removal requires an extensive amount of labor and a thorough manual scrubbing of the entire affected area.
With the new Zep® MicroSolve Disinfectant Cleaner, however, food processors can have peace of mind that their

How Does Zep MicroSolve Work

Since conventional disinfectants and cleaners have limited effectiveness against biofilm, the Zep team took it
upon itself to help the food industry combat this ongoing problem. Zep MicroSolve Disinfectant Cleaner is an EPA
registered product formulated to remove biofilms and their harmful microorganisms from all surfaces with the least
amount of labor and cost.
The chemical-resistant biofilm matrix can be penetrated, dissolved and removed completely from surfaces by using
the patented chemistry in Zep MicroSolve.

In tests of sanitizers - including hot water at 180°F, chlorine at 20, 50, and 200 ppm and iodine at 25 ppm - the bacteria
on stainless steel chips survived, even after immersion in the sanitizer for five minutes. The hydrogen peroxide/quat
based product was found to be effective against biofilms at 3% and 6% solutions.
