IT’S HISTORY IN THE MAKING.
Chinese New Year 2014, Prime Minister Lee
Hsien Loong launched the SG50 Celebrations by
honouring the Pioneer Generation.
This National Day 2014, Singapore enters her
first Year of Jubilee. God’s people have a spiritual
responsibility to inaugurate this historic moment
by honouring the Sovereign Lord, the Ruler of All
Nations.
To this end, LoveSingapore invites all Christians
to unite and participate in a 50-Hour Jubilee
Countdown of Celebration and Consecration:
■ WE
WILL CELEBRATE God’s greatness and
goodness in awe and reverence. We will exalt
Jesus over our city in continuous praise and
worship. As Singapore’s pre-eminent Founder
and Everlasting Father, He is worthy of it all.
■ WE
WILL CONSECRATE ourselves afresh as
a people belonging to God. In humility and in
obedience, we will return to Him with our whole
heart, soul, mind, and strength.
This is a timeless piece of wisdom, a timely
reminder that all things belong to God. All
peoples. All land. All wealth. This is the true spirit
of Jubilee.
BE PART OF THE MOMENT.
■ The
50-Hour Countdown starts on Wednesday,
6th August at 2200HR.
■ It
concludes on Friday, 8th August Day of His
Power, a four-hour worship experience and
concert of prayer at Suntec Singapore. Together,
in His presence, we—a people belonging to
God—will usher in our Year of Jubilee at the
stroke of midnight, at 0000HR National Day.
■ Between
these times, across our city, 23 host
churches representing diverse church streams will
each convene two hours of Jubilee Celebration
and Consecration at their respective venues. All
are welcome.
■ To
commemorate this 50-Hour Countdown, we
will commission a Jubilee Flag to be carried from
host to host like a torch relay as a symbol of unity
and purpose—until it completes its run at Suntec
Singapore at 2000HR on 8th August: Day of His
Power!
