Dear Delegates,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Singapore for BIMCO’s 2012
Annual General Meeting, held in conjunction with Singapore Maritime
Week. I congratulate BIMCO for serving as a vital bridge between the
international maritime community and governments around the world
for the past 107 years.
This year’s meeting takes place amidst significant uncertainties for
the maritime industry. However, every challenge also comes with an
opportunity. Having witnessed how the maritime industry successfully
steered through storms in the past, I am confident that it will again
weather them and emerge stronger.
I am therefore delighted that BIMCO has chosen to hold its 2012
Annual General Meeting in Singapore. As the maritime heart of Asia,
Singapore provides a unique venue where the wisest and best in the
industry can meet and exchange ideas on how to meet current and
future challenges.
I wish you a successful meeting and hope that you will also get to
experience the many delights that Singapore and the Maritime Week
have to offer.

All delegates are kindly asked to register at the BIMCO Registration
Desk. The Registration Desk will be open from Sunday 22 April to
Wednesday 25 April. Delegates will receive the “Final Programme
and Attendance List”, lunch tickets and name tags plus any additional
material.

Please note that registration is required for the BIMCO Welcome
Reception on Sunday 22 April, the BIMCO Reception on Tuesday 24
April, the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 25 April as well as
the Committee Meetings.
PAYMENT
All payments for BIMCO arranged events on 23 and 24 will be
handled by BIMCO. BIMCO only accepts the following credit cards:
MasterCard, Visa, EuroCard, and JCB.
CANCELLATION
There will be no refunds of registrations for BIMCO arranged events
after 2 April 2012.
Hotel cancellations must be made directly with the hotel.

Settlement of hotel bills must be made individually upon departure. All
major credit cards are accepted.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Check-in time at the Conrad Hotel is 14:00 hours.
Official check-out time is 12:00 noon. Any departure after this time and
before 18:00 hours, will be charged at 50% of the contracted rate. For
departure after 18:00 hours an additional night’s stay will be charged.

CANCELLATION
Cancellation or changes to hotel reservations must be made directly
with the hotel.
Note: Shortening of Stay:
Please note that the hotel requries a minimum of 7 days’ notice
should you need to shorten your stay. If notice is given after 7 days,
you will be charged with the full amount of the reservation.
LOCATION
The hotel is located in Marina Bay and is adjacent to the Suntec
Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. The hotel is a short
distance from the Promenade Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station. The
hotel is situtated 19km from Changi International Airport and taxi
fare is estimated to be a minimum of SGD18 according to the hotel
website.
