March for Life
We will have a bus trip to St. Augustine for the
Florida State March of Life sponsored by the
Diocese of St. Augustine.
It is a one day trip on Saturday, January 17
We will leave here at 6:00am and return by
8:00pm. It is important to keep the pro-life
message alive among our youth and their
parents and all our parishioners. The cost of the
trip for an adult (16 years old and up) is $30.00
per person; for teens between 12 and 16 years
old, $15.00 and for children under 12 years old
the trip is free. Children and teens must be
accompanied by a parent or other adult at least
25 years old.
All are welcome to attend.
Go to: www.marchforlifestaugustine.com for
more information about the march.
If you
would like to make a contribution to assist in
paying for the bus fare for a child/teen, please
contact the office or Merlita Jones at 399-2043.
Annual Jubilee Mass of Thanksgiving
Bishop Robert Lynch invites couples who will be
celebrating 25, 50 or more years of marriage
during 2015 to the annual Jubilee Mass at the
Cathedral of St. June the Apostle on Sunday,
February 8 at 3:00pm. If you wish to attend,
please contact the Parish Office by Friday,
January 16th.
In their thirst for knowledge of God,
the wise men from the East willingly left
everything, their home and country, in
pursuit of that quest.
In their diligent
search they were led to the source of true
knowledge - to Jesus Christ, the Light and
Wisdom of God.
When they found the
newborn King they humbly worshiped him
and gave him gifts fitting for a king….To
know and to encounter Jesus Christ is to
know God personally. In the encounter of
the wise men with Jesus we see the plan of
God to give his only Son as King and Savior,
not just for the Jewish people but for all the
nations as well. The Lord Jesus came that
both Jew and Gentile might find true and
lasting peace with God. Let us pray today
that Jew and Gentile alike will find the Lord
and Savior on their journey of life.

Stewardship Reflection
“They prostrated themselves and did him
homage. Then they opened their treasures and
offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and
Matthew 2:11
myrrh...” -
Notice the distinct order of events in the Magi’s visit.
First they knelt before Jesus and prayed to Him.
Then they presented Him with their gifts. We, too,
must take time to pray before we presume to present
our gifts to the Lord. We never know what gifts God
might be asking us to share. But when we kneel
before Him in prayer we will find the answer.

------------------------------------Adult Study of “The Catechism of the
Catholic Church”
St. Pope John Paul II wrote: “For catechesis to be
effective, it must be permanent, and it would be
quite useless if it stopped short at the threshold of
maturity, since catechesis, admittedly, under a
different form, proves no less necessary for adults.”
Come join us in our study of the Catechism of the
Catholic Church this Monday Evening at 6:30pm in
Classrooms 1 and 2.

Epiphany of the Lord
Respect Life Sunday is Jan. 18th
January marks the 40th Anniversary of the Roe
versus Wade decision that has changed our country
in so many ways. Over 50 million innocent lives
have been lost. Over 50 million people created for a
purpose by God. We are turning to you as fellow
Catholics for your help.
Join us on January 18th in our Prayer Line in
front of our church to mark the
passage of Roe vs. Wade.
We want to show this generation that abortion is
wrong, that the lack of respect for life is invading
every part of our daily lives. As Christians we are
asked to stand up and defend the innocent. We will
be in front of the church, on 54th Ave. after every
Mass on that Sunday. Signs and prayers will be
available. Please join us for an hour or whatever
time you can give. We need to show people a
peaceful loving presence in defense of Life.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A HUGE TURN OUT ON
