PCI-WEDECO PDO/PDA ozone generators are the overwhelming choice of design engineers and end-users

large quantities of ozone to meet their process needs. This
is because PDO/PDA series generators have been
engineered from the ground up with customer requirements
in mind. The result is the most compact, cost-effective and
reliable ozone generation system available.

unique in that they are the only large-scale ozone generators available that are factory pre-assembled and fully

For individual unit ozone capacities beginning at 400
pounds per day (ca. 7500 grams/hour) and continuing to
more than 6000 PPD (113 kg/hr), there is a standard PDO/
PDA model to meet your needs. In addition, custom
generators can be manufactured to produce larger
quantities of ozone if required. Whether the challenge
involves drinking water treatment, chemical oxidation,
bleaching or pollution control, PDO/PDA series generators
can provide the solution.

Effizon HP dielectric technology –
The heart of the ozone generator
The environment inside an ozone generator is an
unforgiving one both chemically and electrically. High
electrical voltages combined with aggressive oxidant gases
require that an ozone generator be designed using suitable
materials of construction as well as high breakdown safety
factors to ensure long-term, reliable performance in the
TM
field. PCI-WEDECO’s patented Effizon HP electrode/
dielectric assembly accomplishes this like no other system.
While some systems utilize unreliable enamels or similar
TM
dielectric materials, all Effizon HP component materials are
impervious to the harsh chemical environment in the
TM
generator. And Effizon HP dielectrics have a 10:1 electrical
breakdown factor of safety, versus typical values of less
than 2.0:1 for other generator manufacturers. The result is
clear: PDO/PDA generators have eliminated the problem of
dielectric failures, as well as the down time and

Units – Maximum control flexibility
and efficiency
The performance of any ozone generator is dependant not
only on the dielectric assembly, but also on optimum power
delivery to the ozone generator cells. PCI-WEDECO’s
proprietary variable frequency power supply units (PSU)
deliver power smoothly, reliably and flexibly for maximum
performance and efficiency. By using frequency to adjust
the ozone concentration and output, PDO/PDA series
PSU’s exhibit precise, linear ozone output control as well
as a very wide turndown range (up to 100:1). In contrast
to variable voltage PSU designs, the voltage is held
constant throughout the range. As a result, the ozone
output turndown remains linear all the way to the bottom.
In addition, our variable frequency PSU’s maintain a very
high power factor (>0.98) throughout their operating range.
This eliminates the significant efficiency losses on turndown associated with power factor erosion, that is common on variable voltage PSU designs.

All PDO/PDA series ozone generators are factory preassembled and fully performance tested prior to delivery.
This is possible in part because of PCI-WEDECO’s fully
integrated engineering, manufacturing and test facility in
West Caldwell, New Jersey, USA, as well as our unique
TM
technology. Effizon HP dielectrics configuration enable
them to be installed, tested and shipped within our
generators directly to the project site, eliminating the need
to deliver them separately in special packaging and install
them on site. Following assembly in our factory, each
ozone generator is rigorously tested to full output, through
its design operating range and for conformance with any
specific project requirements or guarantees. Often,
customers join this testing to gain confidence with the unit
and receive preliminary training on its operation.
