The state of Aguascalientes is located in the centre of the Mexican Republic and borders to the north and west Zacatecas and to the south east and south with Jalisco. Its capital city is located 504 km away (313.17 miles) from Mexico City. History On their arrival, the Spanish envoys made various expeditions and discovered a rich mining wealth in the area. However, this was not a simple task since they had to face the fierce nomadic Indian groups that inhabited the región. It would not be until 1575 that they manage to control the Indigenous uprisings and found the city of Villa de nuestra Señora de la Asunción de las Aguascalientes. At the beginning of the 20th century, the state of Aguascalientes had become directly involved in the Revolutionary struggle. Tourist Institutions Ministry of Tourism Av.
