MAIZE DEGERMER/HULLER
MAIZE DEGERMER/HULLER - VH4500 Capacity – up to 4500kg/hr Low oil content in maize grits Low level of residual bran High recovery rate of grits Low power requirement relative to output Model Vertical Maize Degermer APPLICATION/OPERATION: The Vertical Maize Degermer/Huller, model VH4500 has been specifically developed for the removal of germ and bran from maize grains. Maize must be preconditioned (humidifying) over a brief period so that bran and germ have been softened. In the Degermer/Huller the grains pass upwards through an internal chamber, where the action of the rotor mechanism promotes friction between the grains, breaking them and detaching the skins and germ from the pieces of maize endosperm (large maize grits). A pneumatic system separates the germ/bran from the grits – these by-products are then available for further processing (animal feed, oil, etc.). SPECIFICATION: Vertical hulling chamber with internal components in stainless steel. Precision engineered breaking rotor with surrounding screen. Screw feeder with variable speed control via inverter. Overload protection system allowing machine performance to be optimized. Ventilating fan. Base plate for machine and main drive motor. Drive motors: 55 kW, 3 kW and 1.1 kW. continue overleaf MAIZE DEGERMER/HULLER HH2000 + HH800 Capacity – up to 2000kg/hr Low oil content in maize grits Low level of residual bran High recovery rate of grits APPLICATION/ OPERATION: The Horizontal Maize Degermer/Hullers, models HH2000 & HH800 have been specifically developed for the removal of germ and bran from maize grains. Maize must be preconditioned (humidifying) over a brief period so that bran and germ have been softened. In the Degermer/Huller the grains pass through an internal chamber, where the action of the rotor mechanism promotes friction between the grains, breaking them and detaching the skins and germ from the pieces of maize endosperm (large maize grits). A pneumatic system separates the germ/bran from the grits – these by-products are then available for further processing (animal feed, oil, etc.) SPECIFICATION: Horizontal hulling chamber with precision engineered breaking rotor with surrounding screen. Self-standing, compact design with enclosed drive. Drive motor: HH2000: 45 kW HH800: 22 kW CONTINUOUS CONDITIONING SYSTEM Stainless steel construction Precision controlled dampening Thorough mixing action APPLICATION/OPERATION: The Continuous Conditioning System modifies the initial moisture of the maize grains before hulling, allowing carefully controlled degrees of water absorption over a short time; reaching the germ and the hull; without increasing moisture levels in the maize endosperm. A choice of models complements the Alvan Blanch range of maize degermer/hullers. SPECIFICATION: Inclined stainless steel mixing chamber with removable access panels, motorised mixing paddle, driven via reduction gearbox, creates optimum homogenization and water absorption. Water pump with tank. Control panel allows precision control of product feed rate and water application – with monitoring sensors. Drive motor: CC4500: 5.5 kW, CC2000: 2.2 kW, CC800: 1.1kW.
