THANKS to all these sponsors who are making RiverFest 2009 successful! P. 5 Eden opens two new river access sites Draper Landing Island Ford Landing The Island Ford Landing River Access Site, at the Smith River Greenway, and the Draper Landing River Access Site, at the east Highway 700 bridge, are now open. The completions of these two projects make three river access sites that have been developed and are maintained by the city. The first site created is the Leaksville Landing River Access Site, located on Hamilton Street. The City of Eden and the Eden River Development Committee have worked very hard over the past several years to locate and develop river access sites in Eden. These sites have been built to benefit our citizens and to help promote tourism around the two wonderful rivers that run through the city. We are taking advantage of these rivers to help bring visitors to Eden. These visitors will stay in our motels and hotels, eat in our restaurants and patronize other businesses here, which has a positive economic impact on Eden. For more information on the city‟s river access sites, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 623-2110, option 3 or visit www.ExploreEdenNC.com. We are gearing up for Fall and the Holidays with home decor items, freshly roasted coffees and gifts. We have even snuck in a few Christmas items to get the gift-giving wheels turning! 646-A Washington St. 627-4200 Friday Jams have concluded for the summer.
