Ecolabelling Denmark is independent of producers, brands and financial interests. The Swan Requirements on the indoor environment are made by setting criteria for: • constituent materials. • good ventilation. • the construction phase. • material and quality controls to prohibit built-in damp damage. There are also requirements regarding impact on the external environment covering: • the prohibition of environmentally hazardous substances. • energy efficiency in running the house. • the environmentally suitable disposal of construction waste. • a service and maintenance plan for the house.
