What is astro-palmistry? - International Academy of Astrology
Ambrosia Academy of Astrology by Peter G Burns What is astro-palmistry? Astro-palmistry is the combination of natal astrology with hand analysis. The horoscope describes the life template which is a description of all the different personality characteristics and potentials. The hands record which aspects of this template find expression in real life. When these astrology and palmistry are combined the result is a system that is without peer in the diagnostic professions. te r 4. O ute r eli ng s Fe al Dr ives er n 2. The hands contains two dynamic maps of the psyche, reflecting the inner and outer worlds. These maps show the effects of the past, the present state of mind, and future direction should present behaviour continue. The dynamic content found within the hands gives expression to the static picture represented by the horoscope. In ages past astrologers knew both arts and in Asia today practitioners are competent in both. The lines on the palm can be correlated with astrological aspects. Because the lines on the palm can change the practitioner has an excellent tool for anticipating the future effects of transits with the opportunity of suggesting alternative and enabling courses of behaviour. Peter Burns began reading palms in 1984 and spent seven years consulting at the Fremantle markets in Western Australia seeing approximately 1500 people each year. Since then he has been teaching and lecturing throughout Australia and America. Peter took up astrology in the late 1980's and gained his Astrology Diploma (FAA) in 1997, and now runs correspondence courses in horary astrology. He served as president of the Victorian Astrologers Association (VAA) 2006-2008, and has been the editor of the quarterly national Journal for the Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA) since 2000. Peter has been a regular guest speaker on ABC radio in WA and on 3RRR in Melbourne Australia. His successful predictions include the 2008 global financial crisis. Peter is keen to promote the advantages to consulting astrologers of incorporating palmistry into their practice. He points out that the hands include planetary indicators and the lines of the palm correlate with transits. The hands provide the big life picture and show how the horoscope, which is the life template, is expressed in real life. Astrology and palmistry are sister Arts and are a natural combination. Practising astrologers who use both have a big advantage in being able to assist clients. In 2011 Starcrafts Publishing is published "The Palmistry Textbook" by Peter Burns. The addition of palmistry to the modern astrologer’s ‘toolkit’ has the following advantages: The ability to identify which parts of the horoscope manifest in real life; The hands provide an understanding of how the dynamic chart patterns are expressed; The hands reveal a clear picture of the client’s state of mind and emotional well-being. The hands provide a timing correlation to validate transits and provide information on how they are likely to manifest. The capacity to be of service to clients is greatly enhanced when astrology and palmistry are combined as a diagnostic tool. By themselves the hands are an excellent indicator of client’s psychological health and general well-being, past present and future. When the horoscope and the hands are combined the practitioner has a diagnostic tool that is without peer in the helping professions. There is also a financial advantage in learning astro-palmistry: Clients are curious about astrology but they are fascinated by palmistry and astro-palmistry. At public events where both are offered the queue for the palmist is usually much longer than that for the astrologer. On the hands the place where the Saturn Line crosses the Head Line represents the first Saturn return, at approx 28 years of age. As astrologers we know that the first return of Saturn to its natal position represents a significant life turning point, an important part of the maturation cycle. We also know that the way that this event is experienced is described by the house and sign placement of natal Saturn, as well as aspects it makes to other planets. When we look at the hands we can see how this event is actually experienced by noting what changes are indicated when the Saturn Line crosses the Head Line. In the natal horoscope below Saturn is opposed by Mercury. Mercury is associated with reason and clear thinking. Note that it is in the sign of its detriment in Pisces. This woman ran a small scrap booking business. On the right is an image of one of her hands. The Saturn Line comes to a stop when it meets the Head Line. This indicates that her career came to a stop because of a miscalculation. Her finances were a mess and she failed to keep good bookkeeping records. Thus we see how the consequences of what is shown in the horoscope is manifested on the hands. This is only one example of how the a major transit is shown both in the horoscope and on the hands. Because the lines of the palm can be dated it is possible to correlate any astrological transit with indications on the palm at any time in life. 17° ‰ » 18° Š ‹ 20° ˆ À¶ 20° 13-20° ¿21° 24° ¼ ¸ 01° º He art Lin e Hea d Li ne ‡ Á † 19° 11° 11° Born 21 Feb 1979 Birth time unknown.
