As we waited in the pre-op room at Saint Thomas Hospital with brother
Stack, Jimmy and I laughed as James Thomas recalled some funny stories when he and Ms. Annis were first married. It was good to see his
eyes brighten as he took a walk down memory lane. He was recounting
those precious times when he and his young bride were deeply in love.
How time swiftly passes us by. Job says...”My days are swifter than a
weaver's shuttle.” As you read this, I hope you will pause for a moment.
Tell those closest to you you love them. If you are married, tell your
spouse how much you deeply cherish them. Take time to tell your young
children how proud you are of them. Slow down, watch the sun set, smell
the roses, learn to laugh, and cherish those memories. Those advanced
in years with hair now grey will tell you NEVER TAKE THESE PRECIOUS TIMES FOR GRANTED for soon they will be but a memory.
