Our experienced team fully understands the issues and challenges facing people with dementia. We are able to offer professional care as well as a varied day of engaging activities and companionship in a safe, stimulating environment. Fun, friendly and fulfilling While we have plenty of space for up to 16 guests, our group remains small enough for everyone to get to know each other well. Our staff encourage everyone to join in with our fulfilling, enjoyable activities and we have great links with local businesses and services when it comes to organising outings and visits. If our guests prefer a more relaxed, one-to-one conversation then there is also a quiet room where they can spend some time chatting with our staff. Eating well is important to maintaining good health. Sharing a meal with friends, old and new, can encourage and improve your appetite and make the whole mealtime experience so much more enjoyable. A choice of home-cooked meals is available at lunch time or you can choose a lighter alternative if you prefer. Time for hobbies old and new We like to think we have something for everyone and we really believe you’re never too old to learn something new. Our wide range of activities on offer include: Arts and crafts Quizzes Sing-alongs Dominoes Outings Chair exercises Reminiscence discussions “It’s been the best thing I could have done for my mum, she loves it!” A sandwich or cake with a hot drink is served in the afternoon and hot and cold drinks are freely available throughout the day. We can cater for special diets, too; just let us know what your needs are. “It’s very good for J to have company and activities. For me, I get time to myself and away from caring for a while, which is a great help.” Transport provided There’s no need to worry about getting to and from St Joseph’s as we have our own minibus and can pick you up and drop you off.
