Important
Before commencing any of the fitting operations,
ensure that the vehicle is parked safely off the
road with the handbrake on.
Fitting
The high starting current needed to ignite Gas Discharge bulbs can be hazardous. These bulbs can be safely replaced when
the safety instructions provided are followed.
Handbook
Consult the vehicle handbook for advice and tips on how to:
• Remove the headlamp fuse

• Other tips & hints specific to your vehicle relevant to
bulb replacement.
A. Isolate the light circuit
1. Turn off the ignition and headlight switch
2. Isolate the headlamp circuit by removing the relevant lighting fuse
3. Consult the vehicle handbook for details of the correct fuse to remove

B. Headlamp assembly access
4. Remove any necessary engine compartment covers. Be careful to retain any fixings
5. Locate and remove the headlamp covers
6. Retain the cover and replace upon completion

C. Disconnecting the bulb
7. Locate the connector at the rear of the bulb. Rotate the connector anticlockwise (minus 45˚) and pull away from the bulb
8. Unclip the metal retaining clip
9. As the clip is pulled down the bulb can be removed from the headlamp

D. Removing the bulb
10. Remove the bulb from the headlamp
11. Always replace bulbs in pairs

E. Replacing the bulb
12. Replace the bulb following the previous instructions in reverse order taking care not to touch the glass
13. Check all connections are made correctly
14. Replace the headlamp assembly covers, removed to access the headlamp

F. Test
15. Replace the lighting fuse and test the headlights are working correctly
16. Realign headlamps in accordance with vehicle handbook
