PROGRAM OUTCOMES AND PROFILE OF THE GRADUATE The overall aim of the Doctorate in Public Administration is to produce university graduates of the highest academic level in their field, within a framework of excellence and scientific rigour. Our graduates are competent professionals whose standards in public administration are comparable to similar national or international experiences. The specific objectives include the production of high-status academics for teaching at graduate and postgraduate levels, who –at the same time- will be able to produce resources of high quality for their teaching activity and for the transmission of knowledge. Furthermore, the proliferation of scholars devoted to the production, reproduction and increase of the existing knowledge by means of research and the training of human resources for research is intended. Our graduate’s profile should meet those objectives. Apart from having thorough and deep knowledge about the “state of the art” of the field covered by the program, graduates must prove to be original with their contributions to and perceptions of such field, which will win them the highest academic degree: a Doctorate.
