Press Release – Decathlon’s Results 2014 5 Innovation at Decathlon Oxelo’s B1 scooter elected as the best innovation The teams working for the OXELO brand dreamt up the B1 scooter. The scooter was awarded the number one spot at the 2014 Decathlon Innovation Awards ahead of SIMOND’s Karo belay device and WED’ZE’s Max Edge e-tint ski mask. 4 Belgian stores actually took the initiative to invite their best customers to participate in the ceremony, which was streamed live. The scooter, which is designed for 2 to 4 year olds kids, convinced the public by demonstrating how easy and safe it is to steer (the steering system has a patent). It’s an innovation that makes kids feel safer and makes it easier to learn how to balance. The scooter will be available in our stores and on-line from this summer.
