31st Annual Apple Festival
October 1st and 2nd, 2016
The Apple Festival of Kendallville can always use fresh
volunteers to engage in various logistical aspects of the mammoth undertaking to conduct the premier fall festival of Noble
County!
Task needs can range from year-round advance planning of
various areas/events of the festival to “real-time” festival
jobs. This help enables the celebration of the historic importance of the apple harvest to the development of the community we live in today. Your contribution of assistance is
welcomed even if limited to a few minutes.
Call AFK Coordinator, Amanda Taylor, 350-1119, or the Park
office, 347-1064, to learn more about ways you can help highlight Kendallville for all visitors attending.
Skate Night Mondays
Children in Kindergarten through Six Grade are invited
to Skate Night at the Youth Center held each Monday
from 6:00-7:30PM. For the safety of the children they
must be dropped-off/picked up by an adult. Early arrival
before 6:00PM is discouraged. Admission is $1.
Parents can stay and watch their children or help novices. “Full-boot, rink-style” skates are provided in the
admission fee as the limited supply allows, or
children are welcome to use their own skates or blades as
long as the wheels are non-marking. “Heelie” shoes are
not permitted as skates. Skates provided by the park do
require the children wear socks.
Professional artist Carl Mosher teaches painting
classes and you go home with a finished art
piece. No experience is necessary. Cost varies.
All supplies are included. Held at the Youth
Center at 6:00pm. Pay ahead to reserve your
spot.
