the face of persecution, Peter and the apostles proclaim
the name of Jesus (1), the Lamb who was slain (2) and

Segundo Domingo de Pascua
Domingo de la Divina Misericordia
Abril 3, 2016

6 meses: - “¡Ya Puedo Sentarme!”
Ya tengo 6 meses. Acabo de abrir los
ojos – estaban cerrados desde que
tenía 2 meses. A veces me pongo a
No olvide
Pray for those who have died.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithfully
departed rest in peace. Amen.

Christian Formation and Evangelization
DO YOU KNOW that we are supposed to remain in
Church until after the priest has left? Do you know why
we do this? The Latin words “Ite missa est” have been
poorly translated into English as “The Mass is ended.
Go in peace.”
The Latin verb from which “missa” comes means “sent
forth, go forth.” Therefore, we are being sent forth
from our celebration to bring the Gospel to all whom
we meet.
We “go forth” behind the Cross and the priest who has
led us in our Eucharistic celebration and who now
leads us into the world to proclaim the Good News.
Year of Mercy
Pope Francis has declared a Year of Mercy beginning
on December 8, 2015 and continuing until November,
2016.
Let us practice the Corporal Works of Mercy during
this Jubilee Year.
Lord Jesus, you ask us to bury the dead. We can
 Listen to and pass on old family stories
 Visit a cemetery with relatives and remember
anniversaries of the dead
 Support friends in grief by keeping in touch,
sending cards or sharing meals

6 Month Old Spiritually Adopted Baby
Message from your 6 month old spiritually adopted
baby: “I’m sitting up straight now!” Thank
you for your prayers! I’m 6 months old now. I
just opened my eyes-Before today they were
sealed shut for protection. I wonder what you look like.
I can hear sounds, too! It’s great to have someone
praying for me.
Love, your spiritually adopted baby
We are now at the end of the second
trimester! Your spiritually adopted baby now weighs
almost two pounds. She sits up straight now to
accommodate her internal organs which have moved
into their final place in her little body. Babies born
prematurely at this time have a very good chance of
surviving.Thankyoufor your prayers! Your spiritually a
dopted baby is developing quite beautifully now. Her
weight is approaching 2 pounds. She sits up straight now
to accommodate her internal organs which have moved
into their final place in her little body. Babies born
prematurely at this time have a very good chance of
surviving. The medical advances in caring for extremely
small newborn infants are extraordinary indeed. Don’t
forget to pray for your baby. Abortion is legal through
all nine months and her mom might still feel pressure to
abort. If you would like information about spiritually
adopting a pre-born baby, please contact Denise BlairNellies from the Respect Life Committee at 410-7956852.
Donation for the Center for Pregnancy Concerns
The Respect Life Committee invites you to bring in a
donation for the Center for Pregnancy Concerns, a prolife pregnancy center. Please drop off donations (e.g.
baby shampoo, diapers, wipes, formula, new and gently
used baby clothes (size infant - 3T) in the bins located
in the main lobby of the church during the weekends of
April 16/17 and April 23/24. We give thanks to God
for the sacred gift of life and pray all will respect life
from conception to natural death. "Amen, I say to you,
whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine,
you did for me." (Matthew 25:40) Thank you for your
generosity.

In his encyclical Laudato si’, Pope Francis asks us
to do our part, however small, to preserve our planet, a
gift from God. In response to the Pope’s call to action,
Scared Heart Best Years Group no longer offers bottled
water as part of our refreshments. We now have water
bottles that are BPA free and made in the USA that read,
“Sacred Heart Best Years, Caring for Our Common
Home.” They are even in papal colors– yellow and
white. For less than the cost of a case of water, you can
join us in action to help save our earth. Best Years Logo
water bottles are just $3 and are available for purchase.
Please contact President, Judi Behnken at 410-833-0182
for more information on how you can begin “Caring for
Our Common Home.”
Best Years charitable outreach will continue to
support Sarah’s Hope Women’s Shelter. At the April
meeting, Best Years will collect after school snacks.
Best Years meets on the first Wednesday of each month
and welcomes new members who wish to join.
Membership is just $5 annually.

with us. Reflecting on the post-resurrection stories in

with other believers that we come to know: “We have
seen the Lord!” in very ordinary circumstances.
