Hotel Il Chiostro is the ideal place to hold a Workshop. The snug and silent atmosphere of this place is suited to promote scientific exchanges and collaborations. At the same time, the hotel is really close to the historic center of Verbania and to the shores of Lago Maggiore. The summer season will make this location even more agreeable. Verbania can be easily reached from Malpensa airport via ALIBUS Service or from Linate airport taking the bus to Central Station and then the train to Verbania-Pallanza. Social Events A welcome cocktail is scheduled for the evening of Sunday 30 June, in the cloister of the hotel. An excursion to the Borromean Islands ( Isole Borromee) is scheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday 2 July 2013. We are organizing a boat trip to visit Isola Bella with its very famous baroque palace and gardens as well as Isola dei Pescatori. A fee will be required to all the participants who join the excursion and for the access to the buildings on the islands. The Organizing Committee will be glad to offer to the participants a banquet of traditional dishes at the end of the excursion.
