The Programme
This programme at Shiplake College offers students the
unique opportunity to improve their English skills while
allowing them to see the most famous sights in UK, make
new friends, and have fun!
Students will attend 30 hours of British council accredited
English lessons focused on improving fluency and accuracy
of English. Many sport and leisure activities are available
that make use of Shiplake College’s fantastic facilities.
Multiple excursions to London give students a great
appreciation of the city and excursions to Windsor and
Eton,, Oxford, Cambridge, Reading, and Maidenhead allow
students to view other beautiful and historic areas around
England.

Shiplake College
Shiplake College is a historic ‘Harry Potter’ style
boarding school located close to the riverside town
of Henley-on-Thames only yards from the River
Thames itself. The school was first founded in 1959,
although the original building dates back to 1890,
and offers students the opportunity to become
completely immersed in an English boarding school
culture during their course.
Aside from the colleges beautiful appearance and
amazing setting, the fantastic facilities include a
historic dining room, indoor theatre, outdoor heated
swimming pool, tennis courts, playing fields and
sports hall.

Tour Cambridge University and learn about the life of Sir Isaac Newton.
See the Rosetta Stone and many other historical artifacts at the British Museum.
Enjoy a cruise down the River Thames.
