HOLY FAMILY PARISH 3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER PRAYER AND REFLECTION April 10, 2016 3rd Sunday of Easter APRIL 3, 2016 Holy Thursday Good Friday Easter 735 753 4005 March 26, 2016 Nayara do Nascimento Miranda Cabral March 27, 2016 Benjamin Oliveira Pires April 3, 2016 Elias Manuel Gonzalez Giuliana Marie Gonzalez Kiera Mary Sousa Today’s Gospel attests to Jesus’ risen presence among his disciples: challenging, assuring, warning them of what would follow their commitment to him. Their path would not be easier than his. But he fed them, gave them their mission and appointed Peter to lead them. He was compelling enough that they moved forward, despite the risks. He is still among us, feeding us, speaking to us, encouraging us and calling us to live the Gospel. How aware are we of his presence? Let us pray now for all who are called to spread the Gospel and for all who have yet to hear it. For all of us in the church who are called to witness to the presence of Christ among us … we pray, For those who take risks for the Gospel, especially in areas where Christians are persecuted … we pray, For all whose lives are committed to those in need, regardless of their religious beliefs … we pray, For the war-torn regions of the earth; for those in the military; and for those who promote peace through cooperation, collaboration or negotiation … we pray, For sponsors and families responsible for supporting the newly baptized … we pray, For individuals or groups willing to speak out against those who promote fear or deny human rights … we pray, For mercy for those who have offended us out of fear or self-preservation … we pray, For the poor or the disenfranchised, the sick or the discouraged among us; for those who have died and those who grieve for them … we pray, PRAYER: God who encourages and energizes us when we are wary or weary, keep our eyes on the risen Christ who stands in our midst and urges us forward. Each time we are fed in the Eucharist, help us to remember that — like the disciples — we are called. We ask this in his name: your beloved Son, Jesus. Amen. -2016 CELEBRATION HOLY FAMILY PARISH 3RD SUNDAY OF EASTER ” 'Simão, filho de João, tu me amas mais do que estes?' III Domingo do Tempo Pascal (Ano C): At 5,27b- -32.40b-41; Sl 30(29); Ap 5,11-14; Jo 21,1-19. Jesus, durante o ministério, havia abençoado e multiplicado pães e peixes para saciar a fome do povo (cf. Jo 6,9.11) e, agora, Pedro é chamado a apascentar e guiar as ovelhas do bom pastor. Segueme é a exigência do Mestre. Pe. Jonas D. Christal (http://palavra-nossa.blogspot.com LEITURAS DA SEMANA: 2a feira: At 6,8-15; Sl 118(119); Jo 6,22-29. 3a feira: At 7,51–8,1a; Sl 30(31); Jo 6,30-35. 4a feira: At 8,1b-8; Sl 65(66); Jo 6,35-40. 5a feira: At 8,26-40; Sl 65(66); Jo 6,44-51. 6a feira: At 9,1-20; Sl 116(117); Jo 6,52-59.
