Do you love books? Readers, writers -- let’s talk. Publishing is changing at
breathtaking rates that keep both traditional and independent publishers dizzy.
Trends? Historical, time travel, urban fantasy, self-help? What’s the next big
thing? Workshops at writers’ conferences range from Advertising on Facebook
to Researching the Amish. Being a hybrid— both independently and traditionally
published, Esther is happy to chat about what’s going on and best guesses as to
what’s next. Come with your questions, observations, and recommendations— let’s
all walk away with “insider” knowledge and an even bigger TBR (To Be Read) list!
Space is Limited. RSVP Required. RSVP by September 1st

Esther Erman: Basically a Jersey girl, Esther has lived
in the lovely Bay Area for the last two decades with her
second (and last!) husband. A long-time language teacher
(first French, then English), Esther’s always been a voracious
reader. Writing seemed like a natural extension of her
love of language and books. Now she writes under three
names—a wonderful way to handle what might otherwise
be an unfortunate penchant toward multiple personalities.
Mardi Ballou, for the sexy romance; Meg Bellamy, for
mainstream romance and “women’s” stories; Esther Erman,
for Jewish history. With a daughter in New Jersey and a
son in England, Esther has become a frequent flyer. She
loves to cook, bake, indulge in fabric arts, and has achieved
world championship status in retail therapy.

Noga Niv: “Inside the Bubble”
Thursday, October 20, 2016 - 7:30pm
Upcoming Books:
Inside the Bubble is a captivating fictional tale of high-tech and female friendship.
The book takes us to the Silicon Valley, at the turn of the millennium, when the
collapse of the dot-com bubble had produced thousands of new millionaires and
left behind many frustrated contenders who’d hoped the gold rush would never
end. Against the backdrop of California Internet culture unfold lives and personal
stories from Silicon Valley’s émigré Israeli community. A nuanced drama about
love, friendship, loyalty, rivalry, identity and the sense of belonging.
