and Lisbon), Ernesto Don Pasquale (Bologna, Naples and St. Gallen), The Italian Tenor Der
Rosenkavalier (Bayerische Staatsoper and Oper Frankfurt), Nemorino L’Elisir d’Amore (Palma de
Mallorca and the Wiener Volksoper) and Principe Pio in Vive’s La Generala (the Volksoper and
Teatro Verdi in Trieste), as well as Fenton Falstaff, Tamino Die Zauberflöte, Rinuccio Gianni
Schicchi which he has sung at the Teatro Colon.
Dario Schmunck has worked with many of the finest conductors, including Lorin Maazel, Stefan
Soltesz, Mark Elder, Evelino Pido, Lawrence Foster, Donato Renzetti, Simone Young, Alberto
Zedda, Daniel Oren and Paolo Arrivabeni and has recorded Bellini’s La Straniera with David Parry
and Opera Rara.
Dario Schmunck’s most recent roles have included Jago Rossini’s Otello at the Theatre La
Monnaie in Brussels, Edgardo Lucia di Lammermoor in Valladolid and Leicester Maria Stuarda
