Reminders
Musica Viva
On Wednesday 12th June six students from Trundle Central School travelled to
Wellington for the Western Area Trials. It was a very wet day and the track was
very heavy under foot. All of the students competed to the best of their ability
and were rewarded with great results. Thank you to Mr Ian Leonard who gives up
his time to train the children every week.

Principal’s
Report
First up this week are massive congratulations to the students who travelled to
Wellington last week to compete in the WSSA Cross Country. All of our students
represented us splendidly and achieved very pleasing results. In particular
congratulations to Monique Morgan who will be progressing on to the next level of
competition.
Year 10 are away this week experiencing the real world of work. I hope they find this a
most interesting and rewarding week which will enable them to tailor their future academic choices on their desired career outcome.
This Friday our Primary are hosting a movie night. With the cold weather upon us I
would expect to see lots of beanied and ugg booted students enjoying the night.
Thanks to all the staff that are organising and supervising this evening.
Thursday this week our Primary and Year 7 and 8 students have the opportunity of experiencing some live performances during the Music Aviva concert being held at the
Memorial Hall. If you wish for your child to attend please make sure the note has been
returned to the school office.
It is most encouraging as we approach the end of the term to see the students still applying themselves so well at their studies. Reports are now being finalised and will be
sent out by the end of the term.

MULTILIT PROGRAM (Macquarie Reading)
Multilit (Making Up for Lost Time In LITeracy) is currently being utilised at Trundle Central School.
Multilit is an extremely valuable program that relies on community volunteers. If you are at all
interested in being a part of this fabulous program which provides our children with extra Literacy

Congratulations to all our runners who competed at Wellington last week under difficult conditions.
We are extremely proud of Monique Morgan who came 4th in her race and will now go on to compete
at the State Cross Country at Eastern Creek next term.
Well done to Brooke Morgan who came 9th and William Taylor who came 12th. Skye Wilson and Liam
Walsh also ran well in their races.
Musica Viva
Students are reminded to bring back permission notes and money for the Musica Viva performance
which will be held on Thursday.

K-6 Movie Night (in lieu of social)
On Friday June 21 2013 a K-6 movie night will be held in the

and slippers. They may also bring a pillow and snuggling rug if they wish!
Parents are very welcome to attend also.

HSIE
Year 7 have been working on deserts this term and competed in a creative project. The boys
versed the girls in making a desert diorama. After much time and sand everywhere the projects were viewed by Miss Ranger, Miss Rowlands and Miss Coursey. The winning team was
announced to be the boys.
Well done year 7.

Introducing Cassandra Clare’s new series The Mortal Instruments
which is soon to be released as a movie.

Trundle Junior Rugby League News
Trundle Under 12’s took on Parkes on Saturday.Our team this week was Will Wells, Harry Friend,
Ryan Lee in the front row, Lachie Curr, Cody Wilson and Sam Nixon in the back row and out in the
backs was Sam Horsburgh, Ryan Cohen-Wilding, Tom Aveyard, Darcy Jones and Liam Walsh at full
back, a bit light on for numbers Parkes matched us with 11. The first half saw a very even match with
Parkes scoring and converting 1 try so at 6-0 down we were in the game.The second half saw us
cross twice early so at 10-6 up things were looking good.Things soon changed with a bit of lazy defence Parkes then crossed twice to finish up with an 18-6 win. On the whole our guys played well and
it ws a very even game.WELL DONE..Thanks to John McLean, Nicholas Aveyard and Peter Kelly for
your help and Dom Nixon, Anne-Marie Taylor and Nicole Pascoe for doing the table. Training as
normal this Thursday before we travel to West Wyalong next weekend. Cheers Mat Aveyard
