We are the only supermarket to hang our bananas in store to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. 4 easy steps... 1.Place the biscuits in a polythene bag and using the flat end of a rolling pin, hammer gently until you have small crumbs (if preferred you can do this stage in a food processor). More recipes... 2.Melt the sunflower spread in a pan and stir in the biscuit crumbs, mix well until evenly coated then press into the base and up the sides of a 20cm loose bottom round flan tin. Chill for at least 1 hour until firm. 3.Heat the custard with the sugar and just over half the pack of unwrapped toffees in a small non-stick pan over a very low heat until toffees have melted into the custard, don’t leave the pan unattended and stir frequently. Beat in the soft cheese. Spoon into prepared flan tin and chill for 3 hours. 4.When ready to serve, gently melt the remaining toffees with the milk in a small pan stirring constantly until you have a smooth sauce. Peel and slice the bananas and arrange over the top of the flan, drizzle with the melted toffees sauce and serve cut into wedges.
