McDERMOTT PROJECT EXPERIENCE www.mcdermott.com/projects Su Tu Vang Central Processing Platform Cuu Long Joint Operating Company This massive platform is designed to process 100,000 barrels of oil and 160 MMscf/d of gas from the Su Tu Vang reservoir, becoming Vietnam’s largest source of crude oil. Asia Pacific regional resources, with engineering support from McDermott offices worldwide, delivered this challenging EPCI project – from FEED to First Oil. At completion, it set an industry benchmark for projects of its size and complexity. Engineering: FEED/preliminary engineering was carried out in Jakarta, and design and detailed engineering for topsides and jacket in Singapore. Float-over engineering and model testing was carried out in Houston, with installation engineering support from Dubai. Procurement: Activities spread throughout Asia Pacific. Construction: Fabrication of the 16,999-ST integrated topsides and 4,400-ST jacket was executed at the Batam Island facility; including constructing a 66-person living quarters. Installation: McDermott’s fleet installed 21 miles of pipelines, cables and two PLEMs; carried out existing WHP-A modifications; and installed the jacket. Intermac 650 performed float-over installation of the topsides.
