Internships Take advantage of the possibilities! Kings Dominion is offering internship placements for the summer of 2016 in a variety of departments and positions throughout the park. Don’t miss out, APPLY TODAY! Educational Experiences: •Participate in several “Y-Richmond” Events throughout the summer. Interns and college graduates are vital to the health and growth of the Richmond region. Sponsored by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the “Y-Richmond” program makes an important connection between the area’s young professional talent and all that Richmond has to offer. •Seminars exclusively for our interns in Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Management — lead by the park’s senior leadership team. •“Business Meals” with senior leadership and General Manager. •Capstone projects required for all participants which will be determined based on department placement. •FUNdamentals of Leadership is a five session program designed to help you become an exceptional leader for fellow associates and guests in the park by providing you with important tools, training and resources. Please look at the following openings Kings Dominion is offering: Culinary Lead: Oversees the quality preparation and presentation of food items for assigned restaurant location. Duties includes food safety and quality; exceptional guest service; training, motivation and retention of associates. Food & Beverage Supervisor: Responsible for overseeing the successful daily operation of a specific Food & Beverage location within the park. Duties include food safety, quality and consistency; delivering exceptional guest service; associate training and motivation; monitoring and controlling of food cost and labor; ensure accurate scheduling; maintaining area cleanliness. Food & Beverage Safety Supervisor: Responsible for inspecting and grading Food & Beverage locations. Duties include regular inspection of all Food & Beverage facilities; grading them for food handling, safety and cleaning procedures; providing feedback to location supervisors, regarding inspection results and findings; informing area supervisors and full-time management of areas for concern and corrections needed; assisting in the training and demonstration of correct food safety and handling procedures. Human Resources Assistant: Responsible for daily activities of the front desk of Human Resources. Maintains associate documents and responsible for compliance in document production and retention. Must possess excellent communication and writing skill and have the ability to work independently. Interacts with associates on all levels and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Accommodation & Hospitality Leader: Oversees the functions, daily operations, and resident safety within the Associate Housing Building. Throughout the season, Kings Dominion houses over 350 associates both domestic and international students from around the world. Our international students are a key part in providing a diverse culture to the Kings Dominion Family. We are looking for someone to operate the building with creative and fun ideas to make the associate’s experience one to remember. You will also be responsible for the overall daily operations; housekeeping, front desk duties, and activities for the residents. Marketing: Actively looking for a candidate to work alongside full-time management team to assist with the planning and execution of events, programs, and concerts throughout the 2015 season. You would help create publications, organize facilitators, plan vendors and update various social medias outlets. Merchandise Retail Supervisor: Actively seaking those who are able to Supervise, train and develop line associates within assigned locations with an emphasis on proper cash handling procedures and guest service techniques. This position develops and executes an operating plan for the assigned location that emphasizes proper associate placement and maximizes revenue potential. It assists with the set up of the location and creates visual displays. Also, manages and monitors inventory levels of assigned location with an emphasis on loss prevention. Places Merchandise orders for items needed in assigned location based on current inventory reports. Visual Merchandiser: Actively looking for a candidate to work alongside full-time management team to assist with the planning and execution of display windows, front table displays and display wall sets to improve the overall aesthetic appeal/generate revenue sales in various retail locations within Merchandise Department.
