ALTFest - tickets on sale now!
Two of the country’s big-name acts are heading to Hawera.
Ladi6 and Kids of 88 will be headlining this year’s ALTfest on
Saturday 15 December.
South Taranaki District Council’s community services group
manager Fiona Greenhill expects there will be a strong demand for
tickets from across the region.
“We’re thrilled to be able to secure these two big-name bands! And
although the weather was not kind to us last year, we are optimistic
for a fine day with a great selection of music,” says Ms Greenhill.

10 December. The proposed Bylaw identifies public areas
where alcohol is banned and looks to extend or introduce
new Liquor Ban Areas in a number of South Taranaki towns.

event in a safe and secure environment.”
Gates at the Hawera Show Grounds (Williams Avenue
entrance), open at 1.30pm, and the entertainment will kick off
from 2pm with local acts before the two headlining acts take
the stage.
This event is R16 and ID will be required. Please note that there
is no BYO this year. Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcholic, and
food will be available for purchase at the event.
Tickets are available from Thursday 1 November for $32.50
(plus booking fee) from the South Taranaki i-SITE Visitor Centre

Summer Reading Programme
Moriarty has stolen the best library books
to read this summer but Sherlock, Watson
and Mycroft are on the trail! Help them
track Moriarty down by joining this year’s
South Taranaki Libraries Summer Reading
Programme. The programme is offered free
to all South Taranaki children aged 5-12 years
during the Summer School Holiday period.
Registrations are now open but spaces are
limited so you need to register early.
