We have decided to follow Jesus. L: This is not going to be an easy journey. You may want to turn around and go home to safety and security. P: No. We’re ready. The world is behind us; we are focused on the cross. WELCOME GUESTS: Thank you for joining us for worship today! We hope that you will find our church to be a place where you feel welcome and experience the presence of God in a powerful way. Your comfort is important to us, so if you have questions about our facilities or worship, please ask the person who gave you the bulletin or someone sitting close to you. You are invited to stand for certain parts of worship that are indicated with an asterisk (*) in the bulletin, but please feel free to remain seated if standing is difficult for you. We appreciate it when members and guests fill out contact information in the black registration pads that are in the pews so that we are able to communicate with you; however, we promise not to bother you with unexpected visits or frequent mailings or phone calls. While we believe that generous giving is a significant part of our relationship with God, we do not expect our guests to feel obligated to participate in the offering today. Welcome to Milton United Methodist Church, and we hope that you will consider making our church your home. L: Many will begin the journey; but not all will continue. Are you ready? P: We are ready. We place our faith and trust in Jesus. * OPENING PRAYER (In Unison) Robert Ramsey Lord of presence and power, be with us on this second step of our Lenten journey to the Cross. While the church continues to be attentive to the needs of its members, the purpose of this request is to assist persons who are in need but are not members of the church. The projects will begin when the weather gets warmer, so please offer your suggestions to the Mission/Outreach Ministry Team now, so that they can begin to plan.
