What is Leadership Beaufort? LEADERSHIP BEAUFORT is a fun, educational, and rewarding program sponsored by the Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce
that is designed to meet our community’s needs for the active involvement of informed and
dedicated community leaders.
The program provides participants with an in-depth look at specific topics of community
interest, such as city and county government, education, health resources, non-profit
organizations, law enforcement and the courts, and economic diversity in Beaufort
County.
Developed by The Chamber to ensure a continuing reservoir of leadership talent for the
future, LEADERSHIP BEAUFORT consists of a series of one-day sessions designed
to inform, to challenge, and to motivate leaders to become involved in supporting and
directing the future of Beaufort County.
Sign up by February 1, 2014.
For more information call the Chamber at 946-9168.
The second annual Taste the Good Life in Little Washington event will be coming up on February 27th at
the Washington Civic Center. If you are a vendor interested in participating call the Chamber or visit our
website www.wbcchamber.com for vendor applications. Tickets will go on sale soon!
Job Shadow Day and Career Day 2014 are quickly approaching. Job Shadow Day
is an annual event that gives 10th grade students across the county a chance to
shadow a career or job of their choice for a day. Career Day is planned for Junior
and Senior students across the county. Students are bussed to the Washington
Civic Center where they see the local employment opportunities available in
Beaufort County and learn the steps to achieve employment with our local businesses. If you are an employer we hope you will consider participating in one of
these events. Our students are our future and they need to know what opportunities are available to them in Beaufort County in hopes they will choose our
county as their home in adulthood.
