Thursday, December 20, 6:30 p.m. East Campus, PepsiCo Theater The seventh and final fall offering of NCC’s popular Movies-of-theMonth FREE Film Series will be the classic holiday film A Christmas Story from 1983. This delightful film is based on one of author Jean Shepard’s unforgettable childhood reminiscences. This is the timeless story of young Ralphie (a perfectly-cast Peter Billingsley), and his tireless quest for that “Holy Grail” of Christmas presents, a Red Ryder BB Gun. The film features the unforgettable Darren McGavin as young Ralphie’s curmudgeonly Dad and is narrated by author Jean Shepard himself. This is a film that needs to be seen and experienced with an audience. Come get in the spirit of the season with us, laughing, remembering, and anticipating all the joys, disappointments, and adventures of holidays past, present, and still-to-come.
