Welcome
to Universitas Airlangga!
As the biggest university in the eastern
part of Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga
is currently projecting itself to be a
world class university. The projection is
of course not merely a symbol or empty
words. The consequence of this
projection is the necessity to organize
all aspects so that Universitas Airlangga
can arrive in the midst of academic
civilization in the world and attain
respectful recognition as an institution
of higher education which has an
international reputation.
Each year, UA receives a number of
international students coming from
various countries and from different
programs, such as from the Darmasiswa
Program, which is intended for learning
the Indonesian language and culture
from six months up to one year. There is
also another program in which UA
regularly receive international students,
called KNB (Kemitraan Negara
Berkembang), a scholarship program by
the Directorate General of Higher
Education given to students from
developing countries to pursue their
master’s degrees at some of the most
prestigious universities in Indonesia;
and of course, students from the
neighboring ASEAN and Asian countries
are also welcome.
