One of the region's biggest races, the Jackson 100, roars into Brownstown Speedway in September. The Jackson 100 Tune-Up is September 13 with the Jackson 100 Weekend September 19-20.
The Brownstown Speedway is located at 476 East County Road 100 South, in Brownstown.

The 47th Jackson County Watermelon Festival will be held around the courthouse square in
Brownstown September 5-7. Just a few of
the activities planned include:
A Fall Bluegrass Festival will be held
September 19 and 20 at Norman Station Conservation Club.
* Baby contest, seed spitting contest,
watermelon sack race and watermelon
eating contest
* Karaoke and fireworks, cake walk,
music, dancing and food.
* Parade at 1 p.m. Saturday, raffles, car
show and 5K Run/Walk.

Gears for Girls
Girls Inc. will sponsor Gears for Girls bike ride on September 6.

National recording artist Emi Sunshine
and The Rain will make their Indiana

Seymour Oktoberfest
The Seymour Oktoberfest will celebrate its 42nd year when the
festival kicks off October 2. Festivities will continue through October 4, in downtown Seymour.

Houston Fall Festival
Enjoy fall during the Houston Fall Festival from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. October
11. Events take place in and around the
Houston School.
Visitors can enjoy wagon rides, live
music, good country food, amusements
and vendors. There is even a greased pig
contest.
