A b ou t t h e G S1 Gen eral As sembly
GS1 is a global organization based in Belgium. It is dedicated to developing and implementing
a system of standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and
demand chains globally and across multiple sectors. The GS1 System of Standards is the most
widely used system of supply chain standards in the world to facilitate and increase global
trade.
For more than 20 years GS1 has prepared the General Assembly, the largest and most
important event of the organization. There, all the GS1 Member Organizations in the world are
gathered to review their strategies, making decisions and
celebrating the successes that have contributed to the growth
of this organization.
Every year the event changes of venue, and in 2016 the hosting
country is Mexico

‘Simplicity as a Competitive Advantage’

’Economic Environment and Prospects’
Ken Segall created the name of the iMac and is
responsible for the famous campaign “Think
Different”. As one of the people that was close to
Steve Jobs, Ken shares many of their stories from his
book “Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives
Apple’s Success”.
Luis de la Calle, CEO of De la Calle, Madrazo,
Mancera, SC, He served as Executive Director of the
Interdepartmental Commission against piracy, as
Minister for Commercial Affairs and Director of
SECOFI-NAFTA Office at the Embassy of Mexico in
Washington. At the World Bank, he served as
Economist in charge of the Czech Republic, Slovakia,
Poland and commercial matters to Zaire. He was
Advisor to the General Director of Revenue Policy in
the Ministry of Finance and Secretary for
International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of
Commerce and Industrial Development.

leading Family Edutainment concept joining

Julie Meyer is one of the most successful
entrepreneurs in Europe. She is co-founder of First

Country. She is a trusted voice for European

Ricardo Zamora
Jason Dorsey is The Gen Y Guy®. He has been
featured on 60 Minutes, 20/20, The Today Show and
dozens more. His gift is solving tough generational
challenges for companies and leaders. Jason is Chief
Strategy Officer at The Centre for Generational
Kinetics. In this role, he goes behind the scenes with
companies, and their data, around the world gaining
insights which enable him to identify emerging
trends.
Master of ceremonies at the GS1 Assembly Meeting
2016, current Communications and Public Affairs
Manager for Google Mexico. He is specialist with
over 20 years of experience in media, working for the
newspaper Reforma, the magazines Conozca Más,
Rolling Stone, Chilango, and the reforma.com

In a structure that looks like an industrial building, boxes or cubes will be guarded, with all the
words representing ideas and innovations.
Guests will place the boxes of their choice within the empty spaces, to form a map.
