Vol. 13 No. 50
From the Desk of the Jt. MD
Dear Friends,
As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. And that’s exactly
what we’ve seen at Ashiana these past few weeks. It’s been a difficult time in
the market, with crazy deadlines and new locations. But the complete Ashiana
team, as usual, worked hard to meet every challenge. The result? This year we
will be delivering 11 projects in seven locations and almost all of them would
be on time. It’s a fabulous feeling and I am so proud of the team – once again.
What gives me special pleasure is the way the team is handing over the units.
We have further streamlined the processes for the readiness of our buildings
and our projects, the documentation and, most important, the handing over,
driven by the fact that this is your special day when you will be getting the home
of your dreams. For me, it is heart-warming to see the passion and excitement
with which the team is working to make that dream come true.
What warmed my heart equally was seeing the residents cheer the contractor
staff and their children as they participated in various games in Ashiana Greens,
Bhiwadi. It truly made me feel that we are one big happy family! Fantastic!

displayed while our Marketing Team garnered many enquiries.
One of Care Homes Jaipur’s newer
residents Mr. Gobindram Vasnani who relocated here earlier this year was at the
centre of several celebrations this quarter so his settling in process is definitely
progressing well. Residents Mrs. Indu
Bajaj, Mrs. Khumudkher and Mrs. Shashi
Soni joined Mr. Vasnani in a closely contested game of Snakes and Ladders.
Mango Season
Since it was the perfect time to celebrate the season of mangoes, the king
of fruits was at the centre of a fun-filled
learning opportunity in the form of Mango
Monday, an event specially organised for
Mr. Vasnani. Different varieties of mangoes and mango made products were
available for sampling as residents shared
their memories of mangoes.
Young Hobbies
Resident Mrs. Indu Bajaj guided Mr.
Gobindram Vasnani through a rediscovery of his youthful hobby of drawing and
painting. It was quite an experience to see
someone reconnect with his younger days
in the golden years of his life as Mr Vasnani coloured a picture beautifully with just a
little help from Mrs. Bajaj.

ness for dancing. There was more music
at a session with a special team from the
Art of Living who visited and sang some
wonderful songs much to the enjoyment
of the residents and Care Givers.
Birthday Celebrations
What can be happier than a Birthday?
Care Homes, Bhiwadi organises celebrations of the joyous occasion every time
a resident meets that yearly milestone
--- with the warmth and festivities being
shared by the community. There were two
birthday parties --- the first for Mrs Anjali
Sethi and the second for Mr Shivranjan
Sharma. All Care Givers and other Care
Homes residents offered warm wishes
and enjoyed the cake cutting and the
celebrations that followed complete with
snacks, cold drinks, and the feeling that
they were here to share happiness and
were still young.
International Yoga Day
Bhiwadi’s Care Homes residents celebrated International Yoga Day trying various yoga asanas as Staff Nurse Ms. Ritu
Kumari instructed residents and guided
them through a variety of yoga postures
under her supervision.
Group Exercise
A daily group exercise session is being organised at Care Homes, Bhiwadi
at 10.30 am in the Activity Centre. It is
conducted by our physiotherapist Dr. Nitin who has devised a variety of different
ball and movement oriented games and
exercises to help maintain the physical
strength of participants.
Children’s Visits
At Care Homes, Bhiwadi residents love
meeting children and Ashiana organises
such occasions every quarter. This time
we had 35 excited young visitors from the
famous Bal Bharti School. They danced,
sang, recited poems and also performed
some Bollywood songs. Care Homes
residents loved the programme and they
talked about their own life stories and
learnings with the children who listened
very attentively before the gathering ended with snacks and cold drinks.

Going the Extra Mile
Our electrician Mr. Vinod
Singh’s wife was in hospital for her delivery and in
a critical condition. She
needed blood urgently.
There was no blood bank
in Bhiwadi. When Vinod
spoke with Vijay Singh,
Estate Officer, Vijay immediately left for the hospital
with Davinder Singh, Electrical Engineer and both
donated blood saving a
precious life and spreading happiness in
Vinod’s family.

Our Electrical Supervisor Mr. Devender

after a fall in his bathroom which left him

his first question to visitors from Ashiana at the hospital was, “When are we
going to cast our next slab?” Everyone
was overwhelmed by his dedication towards his work. He is an example for
our whole team at Ashiana Surbhi of
'Going the Extra Mile'.
At Care Homes, Bhiwadi, Saturdays

Ever wondered why the sky is blue
And the cock says cock-a-doo?
Why the sun gives light
And the moon is so bright?
Why the hills are cold
And the desert is hot?
Why the earth is round
And grass grows on the ground?
Why mangoes are yellow
And pears are mellow?
Why monkeys eat bananas
And dolphins sing gaanas?
Why birds fly
And clothes dry?
Why THIS is a ball
And THESE are balls?
Why pigs grunt
And tigers hunt?
Why Mount Everest is the highest
And the Pacific Ocean is the deepest?
Ever wondered why the universe is endless
And the sky is limitless?
Why wind blows

Ever wondered why the Ashiana family is the

Because ‘’you are in safe hands’’.

Ashiana has been doing a great job
overall after taking over maintenance of
our housing society. The transition has
been quick and the quality of services has
significantly improved. I hope you continue
to maintain standards.
I got to know about Ashiana's magazine initiative when your staff distributed
copies of previous issues to all of us last
month. It is indeed a great idea.
