Yes folks, it is true, La Femme Magnifique
is back and better than ever! We have made a
few changes this year, which are outline
below. If you would like to run for either La
Femme International title you’ll need to go
to our web-site;

the Application, rule & guideline. Once
filled out, please e-mail it to
darcellexv@aol.com or mail hard copies to
Darcelle XV 208 NW 3rd. Ave, Portland, OR.
97209. You may also call us at (503)222-5338
to request a packet be sent to you.
We are now accepting application from
contestants in all cities, even if you do not
have a regional pageant in your area. Areas
holding a regional pageant can send the
winner and first runner up for each title.
Contact us if interested in a
complimentary DVD of last year’s pageant, it
is good for first time contestants to see what
is expected from our contestants.

1. The Black and White Parade will now be
judged though still choreographed and taught
at rehearsal.
2. There is no longer a Theme category.
The four judge categories are as follows:

All that is required of you to compete in the LA
FEMME MAGNIFIQUE INTERNATIONAL™
or LA FEMME MAGNIFIQUE PLUS
INTERNATIONAL™ Pageant as a contestant is
that you agree to be in Portland, Oregon over
the Labor Day weekend to compete.
The 2014 pageant will be held on Sunday August 31st.

BEEN TAKING HORMONE SHOTS, OR HAVE
HAD ANY GENDER ALTERING, YOU MAY
NOT COMPETE! NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Categories and Judges Criteria
There are 4 required categories on which you will be judged. The scoring will be from 1 to
10 (10 being the highest score).
1. BLACK and WHITE LOOK (also can BLACK or WHITE):
For this category, you will wear your interpetation of BLACK and WHITE or Black or White
look. Judge's Criteria includes: Originality, and Stage Presence.
This will be choregraphed by Monica Boulevard. (House music will be provided for this category.)
2. EVENING GOWN COMPETION (Formal Wear):
For this category, you will wear a FLOOR LENGTH GOWN. The gown may be of any
color, style, and material. Judge’s Criteria include: Presentation of the gown, Makeup,
Hair, Style, Poise, and Stage Presence
3. TALENT COMPETITION:
Your TALENT presentation is LIMITED TO FIVE (5) MINUTES!!!!!NO EXCEPTION!
Judges criteria are: Talent, Poise, and Presentation. You may include other performers in
your presentation. ***TALENT CD'S MUST BE IN OUR HANDS TEN (10) DAYS
PRIOR TO THE PAGEANT***In the event od duplications, the contestant with the
EARLIEST postmark will perform the number and the other contestant will be requirewd to
choose another selection....Please bring a BACK-UP copy of your CD.
4. SHOW GIRL COMPETITION:
This one is the “BIGGIE”. The glamorous and glorious evening climaxes with the Las Vegas
Show Girl/Headdress Look. It is to your advantage to construct your headdress well.
BALANCE is important. The look is designed for glamour, not comfort. Be aware that your
competition in this category will be BIG, however, BIGGER IS NOT NECESSARILY
BETTER. While parading in your headdress, you must be able to walk as if nothing is on
your head. (House music will be provided for this category.)
In the event of a tie for, La Femme Magnifique International™ and La
Femme Plus International™, the following will apply: The judges will
be polled and the judges will make the fi nal decision determining the
winner of La Femme Magnifique International.™ and/or La Femme
Plus International™

All La Femme Magnifique International™ and La Femme
Plus International contestants are invited to perform in the
Darcelle XV Cabaret Show. You may choose the Friday night
show or the Saturday night show. There are two shows both
nights, so you also may pick which show you would like to

Saturday, August 30, 2014 : Meet and Greet:
The contestant, their dressers and sponsors will meet with
Darcelle XV, Producer, Roxy LeRoy & Monica Boulevard
Pageant Director, Jay Mitchell "Dela'Rosa" Pageant
Secretary, and your fellow contestants. This meet and greet
will be held at Darcelle XV Showplace, 208 Northwest Third
Ave, in Downtown Portland. The meet and greet will begin
promtly at 1:00 pm on Saturday August 30, 2014.
This will be an informative time for you, as many aspects of the
pageant will be discussed by Monica Boulevard, Roxy and
Darcelle. If you have not had the opportunity to discuss ticket
purchases with Darcelle XV this will be your first opportunity
to do so in person. Darcelle XV will also have a fl oor plan so
you might be able to see where your entourage and supporters
will be seated.
Sunday, August 31, 2014: Pageant Rehearsal
Rehearsal will start at 11:00 AM. It is IMPERATIVE and MANDATORY that you are at
rehearsal and ON TIME! Tardiness Will result in loss of points.
Be prepared to get your number organized and familiarize yourself with the ballroom and
the dressing area as well as stage entrances and exits during the pageant.
This will also be the rehearsal time for the Black and White look the first judged category.
You will also have time to discuss any special needs for your talent number with our
Lighting and Sound Technicians. Time is alotted for a rehearsal of your talent number if
needed.
House Music for Black and White, Formal Look, and Showgirl Categories will be provided.
Talent music must be at DARCELLE XV SHOWPLACE 10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE
PAGEANT!!!!!

The 2014 LA FEMME MAGNIFIQUE INTERNATIONAL™
and The La Femme Plus InternationTM Pageant will commence at
6pm. SHARP!!! All contestants are required to be there at 5pm.
(NO EXCUSES) TARDINESS WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF
POINTS...
Lucinda Holliday with "Made For A Queen.Com" will
be in town for all your jewelry need all weekend
long....even the Pageant.
The La Femme After Party will be held and hosted by
Portland's Premiere Gay Nightclub, C.C. Slaughters,
in "The Lounge" starting at 8:30pm. You must have
your La Femme Ticket to enter this extravaganza.
Complimentary champagne served while supplies last.
The Victory Party will be held at Darcelle's and Roxy's
House 89 NE Thompson-Portland, Oregon503-287-5716 and as always starts at Noon
