This transaction Amy Stamey Volunteer Mgr. 208-7129 Amy.Stamey@choosecovenant.org demonstrates Covenant Care's commitment to expand its service offerings beyond its core hospice services. Taylore Logan Volunteer Mgr. 202-5801 "Our rebranding signaled the beginning of our transformation to an integrated, Taylore.logan@choosecovenant.org CEO. "That platform shift is in direct response to the revolutionary changes occurring throughout healthcare." Volunteers are the heart of Covenant Care. You, our volunteers provide day-to-day support to patients and families and for our offices, departments and programs. At Covenant, it’s hard to tell an employee from a volunteer because you involved in every area of service – Thank You! comprehensive post-acute provider," said Jeff Mislevy, Covenant Care's President and "The industry demands providers enhance patient experience, reduce the cost associated with care and improve the health of populations in its communities. Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers, hospitals, large physician groups, nursing facilities and assisted living communities all expect post-acute providers to have the capacity to address advanced illness care in both inpatient and outpatient settings - from hospital discharge to end-of-life care," Mislevy explained. "This transaction with Peoples Home Health is one of the most significant steps in meeting that objective," he added. Peoples Home Health and Covenant Care have enjoyed a collaborative relationship focused on meeting the needs of patients with life-limiting illness, noted Tim Buttell, Vice President of Peoples Home Health. "Peoples is honored to join with Covenant Care as it develops an array of complementary post-acute services," said Buttell, who will be continuing with the organization in a leadership capacity. "Home health is integral to Covenant Care's strategic growth plans and we're gratified at the recognition of the quality, experience, expertise and commitment that the Peoples team will bring to this initiative." “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.” ~Oscar Wilde "We're building a model for what a mission-driven, not-for-profit, post-acute provider will look like in the future," Mislevy said. "One with the size and strength to meet the community's needs, to innovate, and to lead on measureable quality. It's a model that we believe can serve as a template for community-based organizations across the region and the country."
