MARCH 2012
Sun Shines on 2012 AGM/Western States Meet
By Candy Williams
Publicity Chair
The weather couldn’t have been better March 9
-14 for the 2012 AGM/Western States Meet. But
considering the combined events were held in
Phoenix, AZ, who would expect anything less?
A busy six days was filled with meetings,
awards presentations, Jaguar events, side trips
and a golf tournament. The Jaguar Club of
Central Arizona couldn’t have packed much
more into the late winter agenda.
Even those of us who couldn’t round up enough
vacation days from work to experience the
whole package had a pleasant getaway in the
Arizona desert. We were able to make it into
town in time to participate in the Western
Roundup Dinner Friday night at Rawhide, a
Western Town and Steakhouse at Wild Horse
Pass.
A sundown cookout and stage show complete
with cowboys and gunfire followed dinner at
this throwback to an 1880s Western town.
Carolyn and Dennis Eynon were perfect hosts,
decked out in their Western garb.
One of the guests included veteran Jaguar test
driver and JCNA friend Norman Dewis, who
has been a part of four AGMs with the addition
of this one. Although he’s a Brit, Norman is a
big fan of the Wild West and looked right in
style with his Western gear. He is truly the ultimate gentleman and a really fun guy!
Norman also was a big attraction at Sunday’s
Western States Concours.
Look for more AGM coverage in your MarchApril Jaguar Journal. You can find results of
the AGM business meeting at jcna.com.
Make plans to attend the 2013 edition of the
JCNA AGM in Mexico City. The event is being
planned by the Jaguar Club of Mexico and
should be another great event. Details soon!

Here’s What’s Happening Around the JCNA Clubs
The Silver Anniversary
(25th Annual) Jaguar Club
of Florida Concours will take place in April 20-21, 2012, at the
Route 46 Entertainment District in Sanford, Florida. This venue
has an amazing vintage automotive theme, and is often called
the car enthusiast’s dream – it will provide an incredibly
scenic backdrop for our Jaguars!

Welcome to …
“Garage Mahal”
Just 15 miles from Disney World in Orlando, Tom
Curren has his own Magic Kingdom of Jaguars,
race cars, motorcycles and memorabilia. It’s so
fantastic that some members of his car club have
even dubbed it “Garage Mahal.”
Look for details in the March-April issue of the Jaguar Journal. If you have a “Great Garage” you’d
like to share with JCNA members,
send info and photos to
cwilliams@jcna.com.
