News from the Office…
We would like to welcome back Ms. Lefko to our teaching staff, she has joined our grade
6 team for the remainder of the year. Our grade 6 students put together a spectacular
surprise for our senior years’ students in mid-February. They wrote every single student
in the school a valentine in which they had something nice to say about that person. The
reaction of the Senior Years students was better than anyone would have expected. They
were looking for their own valentine, sharing the kind words and sending the message
out via snapchat to share with other students. Such a genuine, heartwarming gesture
grade 6 team! Thank you so much for adding to our fantastic school culture!
As we continue to experience winter weather, it does not seem right to talk about next
year and planning for the 2016-2017 school year. This is a reminder to students and parents to please make sure that you are meeting deadlines with your course selection forms
for the 2016-2017 school year. Class sizes, staffing and courses offered are determined
based on the choices that students are making.
On another note, we are well into our second semester and both Middle Years and Senior
Years report cards are just around the corner. Middle Years reports will be coming out
March 10th, with the Senior Years being sent on April 21st. Parent teacher/student led
conferences are scheduled for March 17th. You can book an appointment time by calling
the school at 204-268-2423. Also, please feel free to contact your child’s teachers at any
time to talk about his or her progress.
