PAW PRIDE
A NEW BEGINNING
INSIDE THIS
ISSUE:
2015-16 LYNNWOOD
SUPPLY LIST
It is our hope the following acronym for
the word FREEDOM will assist you as
you start this new school year.
F: Follow Him forward
Romans 15:5 (NIV)–We
are to follow Christ. As
we pursue Him and seek
to imitate His ways, we
move forward in our
process of change.
R: Repent readily
Jeremiah 18:9 (MSG)–
When we repent, God
will start over with us. A
New Beginning…exactly
what we are seeking.
When we admit and
repent of our shortcomings, and sinfulness,
God is faithful to forgive
and make us white like
snow. Clean, fresh, new.
E: Earnestly Pray
Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)
Prayers are incredibly
powerful. As we earnestly pray, we will find
ourselves empowered
by the One true Power
Source.

E: Enjoy the journey
1 Samuel 2:1 (NLT)
As we start the new
school year, receiving
answers from God
along the way, we will
have a number of
reasons to rejoice.
Many times we are so
focused on the destination; we forget to enjoy
God’s journey. He has
planned a perfect path
just for you.
D: Devour His Word
Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
God’s Word is the
ultimate food for our
thoughts, nourishment
for our souls, and the
map we must follow.
We need to dive into
God’s truth and devour
His words like the
sustaining substance
they were created to
be.
O: Open your heart and
mind to His truth
Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) In
order to grasp God’s
truth, we need to pray

If you can’t find a missing paper or you’ve
deleted that email, check out our website where
most of the information you need is posted.
The Early Childhood Department at
Lynnwood offers a preschool setting to
2½-year-olds who are usually still working
on potty training. We will help with
that! So tell your friends, who may think
they have to wait to enroll in our wonderful school! If you know someone who is
planning on enrolling in our PreKindergarten classroom, please let them
know that the class is filling fast and paperwork needs to come in now.

for an open heart, and
an open mind, to better
receive the truth, know
the truth, and obey the
truth when we hear it.
Be prepared to hear the
Lord speak. He will.
M: Make new friends and
move mountains
Colossians 3:12-13
(KJV) As we walk in
godly love for one
another, by forgiving,
encouraging, and helping, we will find the
strength to do what one
person alone could
never, ever accomplish.
We need the power of
the Spirit, and the
power of each other.
Together, we can move
mountains! We were
never met to “go it”
alone. Jesus had 12
disciples. He knew the
value of loving and
supporting relationships. Let us learn from
His example.

CUB COMMENTARY
July! What a fun month this is! Backyard BBQ’s, long days, warm temperatures and, of course, fireworks celebrating our country’s FREEDOM from
British rule!
As Christians, we think of FREEDOM in Christ, FREEDOM from
hopelessness and despair, and
finally, FREEDOM from sin’s eternal consequences—death.
FREEDOM! Many think of FREEDOM
as it is fought on the battlefield—
soldiers fighting to protect FREEDOM; taking FREEDOM away from
others, or restoring it to those who
have lost it. In the USA we think of
freedoms such as FREEDOM of
speech, FREEDOM of religion or
FREEDOM of the press.
Jesus tells us in John 8:31-32 that
we will know the truth, and the
truth will set us FREE. Jesus came
to set us FREE. We could not FREE
ourselves. It has to be Jesus. In
Him we are set FREE and made
new if we abide in His Word (John
8:31). We are no longer slaves to
sin and death—we are FREE!
As you celebrate America’s FREEDOM on the 4th of July, think of
your own FREEDOM in Christ, and
do a little celebrating about that,
too!

 BOXTOPS FOR
EDUCATION
Most families already purchase
General Mills products at some
time or other. All we ask is that
you save the BOXTOPS FOR
EDUCATION cutout on the package and send them in with your
student. BOXTOPS ARE worth
10¢ each and they quickly add
up to a very easy cash amount
for our school. With the growing number of participants on
the BOXTOPS list, our numbers
should be increasing by leaps
and bounds!!
 CAMPBELL LABELS FOR
EDUCATION
What can be easier or yummier
than a can of CAMPBELL’s soup
for lunch? You can then turn in
these UPC bar codes or lids!
Use care when removing barcodes—they are often glued
quite securely to the can and
can present a problem removing them...PLEASE, PLEASE,
PLEASE, do not cut or tear
across the UPC code.
 SCRIP
Do your shopping with SCRIP
and you will personally receive
part of the percentage profit
towards tuition credit. SCRIP
has varying percentages of
PAW
PRIDE
profit but whatever it is, you can
use it towards your families’
tuition. SCRIP is also available
for your grocery shopping so
why not earn tuition credit every
time you go grocery shopping?
During the school year, we have
Starbucks, Fred Meyer/QFC,
Safeway and Albertsons SCRIP
available during office hours.
 FRED MEYER
COMMUNITY REWARDS
Sign up for the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program by
linking your Fred Meyer Rewards
Card to CPCS-Lynnwood at
www.fredmeyer.com/
communityrewards. You can
search for us by our name or by
our non-profit number
(NPO#83047). Then, every time
you shop and use your Rewards
Card, you are helping our school
earn a donation! You still earn
your Rewards Points, Fuel
Points, and Rebates, just as you
do today.
 TARGET—TAKE CHARGE
OF EDUCATION
School fundraising at Target is as
easy as 1-2-3. All you need to do
is shop at Target, charge your
purchases to your REDcard
(TargetVisa or Target Card) and
Target will donate an amount
equal to 1/2-1% of all your purchases to the school of your
choice—CPCS-Lynnwood. To
designate CPCS-Lynnwood as the
school to benefit from your Target purchases, call 1-800-3166142.
 LIBRARY BUILDER
STAMPS
When we shop at your favorite
Family Christian Bookstore be
sure to ask for the library

purchase, not just book purchases. This is a great, no cost way
to acquire good Christian books
for our library. Don’t forget to
take SCRIP with you!
 OFFICE DEPOT 5% BACK
TO SCHOOLS
