In Appreciation
When reflecting upon the 2013 holiday season at the Waterford Senior Center, there was one
word that seemed to summarize everything . That word is “generosity”. The definition of generosity is:
1. Kindness: willingness to give money, help, or time freely
2. Nobility: nobility of character
3. Substantial size: pleasingly large size or quantity
Synonyms: kindness, big-heartedness, openhandedness, unselfishness, goodness
So many of you gave of your time, energy, resources, and hearts to help others this holiday season. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated. You may never know how your generosity helped
another person.
Holiday Dinners For Meals on Wheels
This holiday season we had three local restaurants that generously opened their doors and
kitchen’s to help with our Holiday Meals on Wheels. Copperstone’s, the Green Apple, and the Royal
Diner all made delicious holiday dinners for our homebound seniors. Please think of these special
restaurants when you dine out.
Thank you to the kind volunteers that spread a little holiday cheer delivering
Meals on Wheels on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
