The New Year‘s Gala taking place in the big church of Schönenberg-Kübelberg has been a musical highlight in the region for years. Musical, operetta, pop and classical songs will take turns. In addition to professional soloists also the young singers of the choir will come to the fore. The acoustics of the church adds to the festive concert. Amusement rides of all kinds, as well as raffles, snack bars and various culinary enjoyments, stuff market at the Lothar-Sander-Platz in front of the civic center and more awaits the guests from near and far. The marathon takes place on the certified “Hinkelstein“ hiking trail. Participants will have to master 42 km in length and 700 meters in altitude. The route leads along untouched forest trails, fields and past historical boundary stones, quaint ponds, charming landscapes and breathtaking views such as the Donnersberg mountain. Besides the marathon distance a half marathon of 22.5 km will be offered as well.
