Please remember that the Festival of Parades has a new starting date. This year the Parade will begin on Wednesday, July 4th at noon. The festival will continue on till the 8th of July. The fundraiser that was held at Wojo’s Garden Center on June 1st & 2nd provided us with an extra $75.00 to go into the general fund. I hope we can revisit this again next year. I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Cornerstone Rehabilitation for their generosity. Every Wednesday DeAnne comes to the Center and oversees a strengthening class. The response has been overwhelming. Kristine Stefanko approached us about this program months ago and it just continues to grow. This is a FREE program and is on Wednesday’s at 10 a.m. I want to let everyone know that if there is a problem or concern, PLEASE come and see me. I will address your concerns and or problem. It disturbs me that I only hear of something after it has occurred and not while or before it becomes something out of hand. I take this job very seriously, and I want everyone to feel welcomed at all times. It won’t be long till Ballard Village will be completed. What a beautiful addition to the community. We support each other at all times. We are pursuing the idea of having a meditation class. If you are interested call and put your name on the list. I will get all the details together shortly, so when you call we will have more information for you. Remember, each and everyone of you make us what we are today… “A SUCCESS”. Thank you, Kathy 810.658.1566 • 810.658.8044 Fax • www.davison-sc.org 3 Coming Events Prescription Drug Drop Off Let’s Dance @ Davison Area Senior Center 10135 Lapeer Rd., Davison, MI With Fred & Yvonne Line Dance, Couples Dance & Clogging Saturday, July 21, 2012 6:30– 10:30 p.m. $8.00 pp at the Door Includes Dancing, Free Snacks & Beverages July 2, 2012 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Office of Genesee County Sheriff will provide the following services at the drop off event: Collection of unwanted or expired Prescription Drugs, Presentation on dangers of Prescription Drug Abuse, Blood Pressure Checks & Medical Advice from Sheriff Paramedics Davison Area Chamber of Commerce Festival of Flags July 4th through July 8th Great fun for the whole family!
