The Honorable Charles Field is
a former CUC Chair, the first
UCR Alumni Regent, the first
UCR Foundation Board of
Trustees Chair, and a member
of UCR’s 1954 pioneer class.
He is a retired Riverside
Superior Court judge and
serves on the Western
Municipal Water District
Board.
Dr. Pam Clute established the
ALPHA Center at UCR in
1998 and it is through this
Center that she has been able
to champion her passion:
inspiring and motivating
young people, especially
women, toward success in
science and math careers.
Catherine Ghipriel, the 201415 Justice John Gabbert /
CUC Scholarship Recipient is
a junior at UCR majoring in
Political Science and Law &
Society, aspiring to become
an attorney. Catherine is a
youth leader, hymn and
Sunday school teacher at her
church, and spent her winter
break volunteering at an
orphanage in Mexico.
The Citizens University Committee
Fall Kickoff is always one of the
highlights of the year! Join us for an
evening of fun, food, and friends on
Wednesday, October 8th as we honor
two true difference makers for both
the campus and the community,
Judge Charlie Field and Dr. Pam
Clute. Also being recognized is a
future difference maker, John
Gabbert/CUC endowed scholarship
recipient Catherine Ghipriel.
We will also welcome the new CUC
chair, David Fisher, to his new post,
and thank our current chair, Sharilyn
Hunke, for her dedicated service these
past two years.
Space is limited, so RSVP today!
