YÜÉÅ à{x ctáàÉÜË á Wxá~
Dear Friends,
T
wo of my favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are holidays when
we gather with family and friends to celebrate and to celebrate with love. These moments
are times for us to express our closeness and joy. Therefore, I think I know why Isaiah and
Jesus use the idea of feasts and wedding banquets in the readings. There is something very
special about gathering around a table. The readings are about God’s feast and love is the
gift we bring to this special table. Also, love is the gift we will receive in the act of the
breaking of the bread with one another. Any holiday feast needs our care and attention. And
God’s feast deserves no less.
Yours in Christ,
Very Rev. Michael A. Carrano
