WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES PRAYER
God and Father of us all, in Jesus, your Son and our Savior,
You have made us your sons and daughters in the family of the Church.
May your grace and love help our families in every part of the world
be united to one another in fidelity to the Gospel.
May the example of the Holy Family with the aid of your Holy Spirit,
guide all families, especially those most troubled,
To be homes of communion and prayer and to always seek
your truth and live in your love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us!

Third Sunday of Advent
The Spirit of God helps us build up the kingdom of God on earth.
We come to Mass to encounter the living God and then are dismissed to live out our daily lives in a way
that brings Christ to others. How should we rejoice, pray and give thanks? How should we answer the question.
Who am I and what does God desire of me?

DECEMBER THEME FOR
WORLD MEETING OF
FAMILIES
THE MISSION OF LOVE
God works through us. We have a mission. We
are in the world for a purpose—to receive God’s
love and to show God’s love to others. God seeks
to heal a broken universe. He asks us to be his witnesses and helpers in that work.

OUR LADY OF ANGELS NEWS
The second graders at OLA ventured into Philadelphia to the
Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University this past
week. They explored prehistoric creatures both small and
large in the Dinosaur Hall, got to dig for fossils and explored
nature through the fabulous dioramas in the galleries. They
got to discover nature hands-on in the Outside In center and
explore the Chocolate exhibit, as well. It was a fun way to
learn a lot around our world!
Just a final update on OLA’s Camp Out for Hunger Campaign in memory of Deacon Fosbenner. On Thursday, December 4th, Kevin Fosbenner went to the four schools
HELP WANTED
St. Vincent DePaul’s Food Cupboard, located in
the old school building at Blessed Virgin Mary’s
School in Darby, is in need of volunteers to help at
this our busiest time of the year. With over 330
families coming each month, the need is great.
We have been blessed with donations of food from
churches and other organizations. The parishioners at Our Lady of Fatima have been very generous to us over the years. Now we are in need to
help to distribute food. We try to give out a little
love and understanding along with the food. If
you can donate two hours on either a Monday or a
Thursday, that would be such a help to us.

involved in this project: OLA, St. Mary Magdalen, St.
Dorothy, and St. Pius X, and loaded what the kids had
collected onto his truck. Then the OLA Excutive
Board along with Jodi and Kevin Fosbenner, Ms.
McGuire, Mrs. Cochran, Mrs. Bennetta, and Mrs. Boylan had the opportunity to go to Xfinity Live to see first
-hand what they had been collecting for these last few
weeks. At the sports complex in Philadelphia the students saw the amazing amount of food people from all
over the area donated to WMMR’s campaign. They
got to see a live performance of the Preston and Steve
show and listened to them talk about the school’s efforts on the radio. Parents who were listening to the
broadcast heard Preston, Steve, and Casey, Jodi and
Kevin Fosbenner talk about the efforts of the schools
in memory of their dad. When the broadcast was over,
the students went behind the scenes to get pictures with
the morning show crew, as well as Pierre Robert. It
was a memorable day. Students experienced the enormity of the Camp Out for Hunger Campaign and saw
the part they played to help those in Need. All told,
the four schools involved, as well as OLPH Parish,
collected 2 tons of food to donate to this wonderful
cause. Thank you to everyone for your generosity!
BABY BOTTLES FOR
MOTHERS’ HOME
This year’s Baby Bottle Drive is over. We still
have outstanding about 130 bottles. Should you
have one, please bring it to church or drop it off
at the rectory so we can complete our mission.
Thank all of you for your support.
