Major refurbishment of our Mortuary, Biomedical Engineering, Food Services and Engineering & Maintenance facilities plus the development of a new Central Equipment Loan Pool were celebrated today with ribbon cuttings, many photos on Facebook and a huge (and delicious) red velvet cake. These critical back-of-house areas have been expanded in readiness for the opening of the Clinical Services Building which will create another 170 beds to Blacktown Hospital. Congratulations to our staff and Kane Constructions for completing these important projects. Engineering change: Our Biomedical Engineering team show how it’s done at their opening celebration. CELP celebration Loan arrangers: : Brett Carter demonstrated his official ribboncutting technique, assisted by ribbon-bearers Katy Relf and Arnel Krishna in the new Central Equipment Loan Pool. This important new facility will help streamline the way hospital loan equipment is managed, stored and maintained. www.bmdhproject.health.nsw.gov.au |WSLHD-BMDHProject@health.nsw.gov.au| 1800 155 102 BMDH Brag Book 17 October 2014 Food Services celebration Dedicated service: Doing the honours for our Food Services opening, from left, Neliza Palenzeula, Monica Platt, Jennifer Millard and Chris Moss. We have a great partnership with Health Infrastructure, but it never hurts to sweeten things with a bit of red velvet cake! Watch out Nigella: Staff member Aileen Tadiaman made the delicious red velvet cake to celebrate the completion of our internal refurbishments. She was also the lucky 100th Facebooker to like our site, scoring a limited edition BMDH mug. Thanks Aileen.
