Today: The Ministry of Music is: God is Changing the World Justin Beckett & Mark Hayes The Reflection is: The Beat Goes On In the Christian story, we hear that death is needed so new life can emerge... Seeds must “die” in order to germinate. Yet we struggle with knowing when something has come to the end of its time and letting it go. Consider which ending/beginning stories have enriched your life, individually and as a faith community. In what ways have you found a “new path on which to travel” through letting go? We respond with renewed commitment A time in which we sing share our gifts, tithes and offering, And share concerns and a community prayer. Today: The hymn is: Walk with Me # 649 The offertory is: Chanson Douglas Wagner The Lord will command his loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me. Psalm 42:8 -3The offering doxology is: For the Gift of Creation # 538 For the gift of creation, the gift of your love, and the gift of the Spirit by which we live, we thank you and give you the fruit of our hands. May your grace be proclaimed by the gifts that we give. Our shared prayer is the Prayer of Jesus Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen. We prepare for service In which we sing a parting song and are commissioned to ministry and mission and depart with a blessing. Today: Parting hymn is: Spirit, Open My Heart More Voices # 79 (insert) Reproduced with permission under license #610099, LicenSingOnline. -4The Sung Blessing is: Go Now In Peace Go now in peace. Never be afraid. God will go with you each hour of every day. Go now in faith, steadfast strong and true. Know God will guide you in all you do. Go now in love, and show you believe.
